His BEST matches were when he was doing the ANTI-HARDCORE thing. He'd go to the ring and have matches with 3 minute rest holds into 3 minute rest holds. Foley got SO MUCH heat and he literally didn't have to do a single thing. Mick ALWAYS had a great mind for the business

that Texas Deathmatch with the Sandman actually went on longer than it was suppose to because Cactus legitimately knocked out Sandman with a frying pan and he kept getting up when he wasn't suppose to. I believe Foley wrote this in his first or second book.

He loved ECW as a show but he was CONSTANTLY having to stay on Paul Heyman to get his money. I had a guy me and a bunch others worked for he didn't pay any of us cause he relapsed and kept the money so he could get high and drunk...... I saw the guy and IMMEDIATELY walked up and said hey man I worked dn hard for you and you never payed me a dime. The guy payed me. As it turns out I was the ONLY ONE that got payed. Those other guys didn't raise hell. You gotta do what you gotta do to get your money. Most of those guys were like "Ok I forgive you Paul" therefore he knew he could get by with it. You gotta raise hell and most of these wrestlers didn't. So they got ripped off.

Great job on the bio. There are 2 interesting bits to the last days of Cactus's run in ECW. The Cactus vs Douglas match had Brian Hildebrand as the referee, which was acknowledged on commentary and played a part in the ending (if I remember correctly, Hildebrand gave the handcuffs to Douglas near the end of the match). Cactus's final promo ended with him calling the two men with the vision for ECW out to the ring to say goodbye (implied to be Heyman and Gordon), but it turned out to be Stevie and Meanie, and all three did the Fargo strut out of the arena.

Mick Foley & Terry Funk are the definition of wrestling legends! Watching his Japanese work back in the vhs days was disturbing. The chair shots he took from Shane & Mikey in that ECW match were very disturbing. In his 1st book, Mick said he didn't know that Shane & Brian Hildebrandt, R.I.P., were going to do that to him, in the way that they did it. Mick set his own mark with his style, & literally gave his entire being to pro & hardcore wrestling like no one else. He deserves all the success he earned.

Yes ,Wwf made him a superstar in and out of wrestling but wcw and ecw is more of where the legacy was built. Mankind in 96 was new to ppl who ONLY watched wwf so they didn’t know. Despite the war and ratings there were always ppl who only like wwf and thought that was the only production. Somewhat casual fans of wrestling I would say

I followed ECW from start to finish (WWECW doesn't count), and somehow I never realized Cactus Jack was a heel aside from his time in the flock. I just felt comedic irony not insults. Probably doesn't help that my favorite aspects of ECW were the high tech performances, and I kind of agreed with what Cactus was saying.

Have been a die hard Cactus Jack fan for years and have a good collection of his matches on vhs/dvd from his days in WCW,ECW,Japan and WWF and always enjoy watching him and his promos are some of the best tv you can watch whether it was him As Cactus or when he did Mankind in the WWF . Even liked a little bit of the Dude Love character where it showed that he was more than just a hardcore guy and could do some comedy as well . His matches from ECW and Japan wre some of the most brutal matches ever whether it was his matches against Sabu which were like human car wrescks or his matches against The Sandman where anything could happen to his matches against Terry Funk in both companies where they defined eachother by attempting to destroy eachother .Their 2 encounters in Japan were disgusting bloodbaths that would satisfy any hardcore fan .Cactus always brought his hardcore best in each match and was nrver disappointed by any of his matches . The Texas Death Match against Vader is a brutal classic as well . If you were to make a Best Of Cactus Jack video (Which i have done ) you wouldn't have to look far for content as his matches were always entertaining and kept you on the edge of your seat . Have met the man himself and found that he was very personable and got a few pictures with him and some dvds autographed .1 of the nicest guys you would ever meet . Respect and salute to a true hardcore legend of wrestling .

I honestly believe Mick Foley doesn't feel pain. For all the punishment he endured, he looks better than alot of retired wrestlers & he's an articulate man. One of the best to ever do it 🐐

I'll never forget Cactus Jacks brawl against Lamanamanumi. And his tag team matches with "Drunk" Terry Funk.

I absolutely love this channel, have watched it for a while now, I love your presentation style, you speak clear and come across very confidently... There are only a few wrestling channels I really enjoy watching, Your one, the other is W3 w/Brian Zane, in that order btw
