If this ended in a court case, Im not sure mojang would be not liable here. Say if Duper Trooper took them to court for breaking gambling laws. Imagine if the EU bans minecraft for letting servers have gambling in a family friendly game, as they have been pushing it. That might be the only way to truly get rid of p2w

Most p2w servers are skyblock or faction type servers, most have a season style reset system that makes everyone start from scratch efter a few weeks of month depending on server and game mode. Dupes may interupt those servers a little bit but thanks to reboots and new seasons nothing is permanent.

I know I have little to nothing to provide with this statement, but as someone with a channel name of anti cheat, I'm usually against stuff that involves cheats. But the way they're using their clients to combat an abusive system is something that I am 100% into and would personally do it myself if given the chance and knowledge.

Duper Trooper is the Robin Hood of Minecraft p2w servers. He steals (dupes) from the rich and gives to the poor. Maybe the way he goes about it isn't the best way, but he still champions a cause he is willing to fight for because it is injustice he is combatting.

Let me get this straight. Mojang made it clear their EULA states P2W is against the EULA and can lead to legal action if they choose. And Duper decides to take action to stop them from breaking the EULA and this guy dislikes him because of him doing that? Help me make that make sense please. On top if that he should never have been banned for a grief he never took part in. That's bullshit! And I'd of fought that I I were him!

My kid plays Roblox and we don’t give her any money to buy this RNG P2W stuff anymore. We didn’t realize how bad it was for the first two months. We would give her something like 400 robux and she would come back asking for like 12000, lol, no. Paid rng should be made illegal for any game advertised to minors. Wish someone would grief Roblox like this. Honestly it’s nice having someone watch out for players. I remember a game she liked offered a free huge pet for playing for something like 72hrs and reaching some goal. These are kids who go to school and stuff. No one was gonna get it. But she wanted it bc we refused to buy her one knowing she would get the low end ones always. So I played for her on my computer. Literally had it running 24/7. I had played a beta version of a game on steam and they were having a one-year anniversary ‘Thank You’ event. I really like that game and I didn’t get to play the event because Roblox takes so much of your computer memory lol!! I was taking meetings with Roblox and an auto clicker in the background. Apparently a lot of savvy kids and parents were doing the same thing so on the third day they decided they were going to limit it to a small number of “first” people. I almost threw my laptop across the room. They kept bragging on Twitter that their game was the no 1 played that week. 🙄 I got it for her. But I hate those men. They have no business calling themselves game developers and all they’re doing is teaching kids how to gamble. I know it frustrates her having to play and earn the things that she could just buy or sometimes completely go without, but I hope someday she realizes that what we did we did with her best interest at heart.

Eyooo! I played on KingsCraft server before and one of them gave me the barrier blocks, i keep it in a safe but Frost ( The owner of the server ) remove it all ). I was never expected that to happen since I was just playing for fun with my friends in that server 😅 It was fun though to met this guys and it seems they didn't have time to take it down because the KingsCraft server is full of active moderators that they can easily track them and banned them forever in the server. They will tp to you in the most unexpected way 😂

I have an idea on how to break the P2W servers. But this will break 1986 CFAA. It involves reverse engineering Minecraft's code(we're lucky that Java code is so easy to decompile). Then look for vulnerabilities that allow to run unsigned code. And use that vulnerability to destroy P2W servers by sending the /op {playername} from every user that is on the server(yeah, using p2p attack surface). If it works, then we have an OP and we can grief the P2W server that we want. I understand why P2W element is here in the first place. Server maintenance, staff payouts, domain costs, etc. But, when you actively incentivise gambling addiction on people, then you gotta go. Because, not only it breaks TOS but also breaks banks of people alike. After we done breaking one server to send the message, then we report that vulnerability to Mojang or MSFT to fix it. If we're lucky, we get the paycheck to break more P2W servers, so that Mojang has something to do about the P2W situation.

Most players on Hypixel Skyblock (especially endgame) have never had a problem with the gems. The 'items' are not really that interesting, its all about the weight (Now level), which can't be bought. Just slightly increase the speed on which you can get it.

The amount of servers I left because they were pay to win:(. At first they seem fine but then those little boxes appeared for just a couple dollars. Thankfully I found these servers while I was hunting for a mc server I could play for a while so I wasn’t really attached to them. Stay safe guys and don’t fall for these traps

Pretty epic video, just one thing: if i remember correctly, the Jeb_ incident at 12:04 turned out to be an NPC, not the actual jeb, and the fifth column ban wave didnt happen until they hit a separate, private mojang server that was used in one of their own YT videos - but overall same outcome: mojang got angy and waved around their ban hammer over a server griefing

i have no idea who the fifth column is but they had literally blown up our local friends group server so thank you for some bits of information about them

P2W in skyblock kinda does nothing now cause there is more extra focus on other things than coins because of skyblock level You could still speed up progression but eventually u can't really reach the level of players who actually grind which is good (except coins but that would be EXPENSIVE and pointless) Booster cookie inflation kinda sucks for f2p but late game you can easily get one in half an hour when coins used to matter more back in 2020 i can see why people think skyblock was p2w, including me
