I have recently become obsessed with Polaroid. In the last month I have snagged 3 variations of the Polaroid camera and a few hundred dollars worth of film 😅

Folding SX-70 is an amazing camera for its day. It's minimum focus distances is10 inchs.

I feel like Polaroid had good ideas, but some to late and some too soon. The timing definitely made a huge impact. The corruption brought them down fast and hard. Fortunately for them it seems that strong nostalgia brought them back to the market

I have a Polaroid one, and recently bought 2 packs of Colour Film and one pack of Black and White. There's something just plain fun about shooting with an instant Camera. Sure it won't have half the sharpness of a DSLR, but sometimes that's ok. I love the asthetics of Polaroid Cameras too. Just a nice fun retro look. 😂

Just learned this was a "synecdoche", and about that word for the first time when an early 2000s Polaroid digital model was brought out, and an argument about what the brand name means ensued. Needless to say, it's pretty obvious the company just dominated the concept, it's not the term for the type of camera.
