i had issue #4...sadly, i gave away my entire comic book collection around my first few years of high school. i was so wrong to do that. i listened to my parents and teachers who said comic books were a low brow form of art/literature. that was such bullshit - marvel and spawn, etc, are modern folklore, modern mythology

Wold be cool if you did a series on Spawn in its entirety.. Would also love a movie review for his movie since I don't know whether it's too late for me to watch it (Spawn is cool)

I have been waiting for you to make a Spawn video for a while now, I was mostly excited when you went to comics explained instead of just marvel explained. Since Spawn is technically part of the DCU and has had appearances with Batman in the past. Hope you do another video like a Spawn explained rather then just the conceptual, and start of the Spawn series. Love your episodes Rob.

Thanks for focusing on Spawn. Although there are some errors. McFarlane did not create nor draw the vast majority of Coyote. His first published art was a short story at the end of issue 13. He also did a lot more issues of Hulk.

honestly i just want to hear more Spawn. hes my personal fav superhero, despite the comics storyline being a little lackluster and in desperate need of an adrenaline shot, that changes nothing in my books. Spawn is a great example of wasted potential but even with that said the story bulletpoints are so good. if handled in the right hands, Spawn could rival Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, hell anyone in terms of popularity.

Great video! Just wanted to point out that you forgot to mention Whilce Portacio as a founding member of Image comics. He left for awhile shortly after Image was first formed due to family problems at home.
