I feel like I watched an episode of Talks or something where Matt talked about the Snitch having been stolen, and how he imagines that some day Tal will hear his doorbell ring and when he goes to answer it it will be the snitch returning to its master.

First of all, that poem at the end there was great! Second, I hope that The Snitch is found again at some point. While I doubt it will, magical objects like that have a funny way of defying what people think will happen.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the snitch was accidentally weighted [like something in the making of it]. And Talisen gave the die to Matt after the first campaign to balance it all out. Plus it makes things interesting.

It's from the audio book version of The World of Critical Role: The History Behind the Epic Fantasy. A great listen (although there is some double ups from other sources such as between the sheets).

It's not weighted.... We tested it and it was 50/50... Erm... So it rolled 50% nat 20s? All things equal it should only be 5% So yeah, the weight is definitely off 🤣
