Ali Keeler is a musician of English origin and a Muslim since he was 14 years old. He lived much of his life in Damascus (Syria) where he learned to recite the Qur'an and discovered a musical style full of Arabic influences. In love with Al-Andalus, he visited Granada and decided not to leave again, where he founded Al Firdaus Ensemble, a musical group in praise of Allah and the prophet.

We had an oppurtunty to meet Brother Ali and the Al Firdaus Ensamble when they visited us in California, their music is so wonderful and soul stirring. I keep watching the concert given in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Insha'Allah hope to see them again. Eid ul Adha Mubarak to all.

Gracias por esos vídeos de alta calidad. Qué lindo habla Ali el castellano y qué bien pronuncia el bellísimo idioma árabe. Qué suerte me tocó aprender el árabe levantino en Beirut, el Líbano, un país precioso, lindo y de una historia milenaria, y de ahí visité la bella Siria y su capital Damasco, eso era un año antes de la guerra que fue tramada por EE.UU y sus aleados. Pobre Siria, la cuna de la humanidad con Irak, Líbano, y Egipto.

It's as much a pleasure to listen to Ali speak as it is to hear him sing. I should add that the way his group sings resembles to my ear, the kirtan style of singing. Different religions, same spirit.
