The Storytellers

6 жыл бұрын

While his brother played cricket, Avash Karmacharya was much more drawn towards his neighbour’s daughter’s little stove. In school his friends glittered with their sports day trophies but he wanted to dance and he still does. Avash Karmacharya soon realized that there were things a boy was supposed to do and he tried to mould himself into it for many years, despite wanting to be himself until a friend changed his perspective.
Avash Karmacharya is currently working as Marcomm Officer at British Council. He is also a very passionate photographer and writer.Mr Avash Karmacharya is also one of the speakers who applied through "I have a Story to Yell" which is a platform, a community initiated by The Storyyellers where stories, bottled inside of anyone of us can be shared. If you think you have a story which must be shared then you can apply at goo.gl/zQCw1g

I've been extremely overwhelmed, emotionally moved and grateful for the last two days. So many of you have written to me on my Facebook and Instagram such heartwarming words, so many I've never known commented on my edition of The StoryYellers, such beautiful words. So many of you have written to me how you could relate to my story and found it worth sharing. Thank you so much for everything. We all are connected in some or the other way. We all often build our own limitations and create walls for ourselves falling into so many prejudices around us across the planet. And we all need that space to hear and to share. I'm thankful to #TheStoryYellers for creating one such platform. I'm thankful to each of you, dear ones and complete strangers for such beautiful words and so much love and power. Far away from home that I am now in Macedonia, people here are absolutely warm too making me feel all loved and welcomed. I will be back home soon. Until then thank you for melting me in so many ways. I am ever so grateful. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ea6eq6hyxpOpko0.html

You confessed what a man would think about a woman when she is 72 years old working, who would go trekking carrying a heavy rucksack or pregnant and still at work, describing a typical stereotypical man yet you admitted how those women would prove you wrong. We need more people to blur the rooted yet superficial margins categorizing the choices of men and women and compelling us to develop restricting preconceptions. Truly said. Very eloquently articulated. Applause.

You are a man enough! With so much of keen observation and analyzing thoughts over the life of women expressed in such a worthy words......amazingly it MADE YOU NOT ONLY ENOUGH BUT A COMPLETE MAN. Overwhelmed by knowing the fact that there are some MEN like you in Nepal too. Esp the last part of women's daily 12 hours labour and the tea table men talking about polictics !! APPLAUSE !!!!

Your words are really inspiring and touching. After this i can say that, "yes you are man enough to talk about these all things hiding from this much long time and suddenly speaking out in front of all". I respect your journey, your words and yes life has more distance on ward. Don't hesitate to be yourself just take a breath, straight your head and move on for what you walk out from home. 😊

This is what a story telling is all about.I have same experience like you have,as being a girl I always stand out like boy,was active in sports and was active to play anything like table tennis and all and eerybody used to say kasto keta jastaii xa,teenage time ma laaj lagney and all hunxa but without caring anything i used to play with my whole dedication without fearing about how will I look while jumping.Single child, son banera garnu xa,but yes!society le vanxa(with reflection of your parents)behey garnu parxa, ghar ko kaam garnu parxa and blabla, ghar ko kaam ma interest xaina, outer world sanga communicate garna maan lagxa)like you had a problem kasto keti jasto; I have problem like keta jasto, dispite everything you really inspired, motivated.Well wishes and blessing (I guess you are blessed enough😊) all the very best for your future and you know what, girls do look for a guy like you.And yes!Story teller and team; you guys are doing such an amazing job.Always motivating.Best wishes and keep growing 😊😊
