In today's fly tying video, I showcase Semperfli's Straggle Legs and use a variety of techniques to create an irresistable imitative Pregnant Scud pattern.
This Straggle Leg material is an absolute dream to work with! Longer, more sparsely woven fibers than Straggle String, lifelike appearance and movement, and it is available in a full array of colors to match the insects in your local waters.
Go ahead and give it a tie! The fish go crazy for this stillwater staple pattern. Thanks for watching!

Wow that's amazing. I fish a ton of scuds on taneycomo. It's a tailwater. I really have to tie some of these up. This looks amazing. How do you fish them again? I know you said you strip them back like inch. But do you throw across the river and let them swing in the strip them back? If you can help me with this question. Thank you. 👍

These can be pretty deadly fishing on an intermediate or type 3 sink depending on desired depth. Strip, strip, strip as fast as you can with moving the fly as little as possible if that makes sense and then pause. It's the pause that typically generates a strike. Good luck out there Devan and thanks for taking the time to watch!
