In this video I take a deep dive into Dalek Seven. Constructed in 1965 as a stunt dalek it would go on to be used as one of the main prop used in the classic series of Doctor Who.

Your history is well presented but a little misleading. Dalek Seven's skirt became linked to Dalek One (the first Dalek ever built by Shawcraft), having that Dalek's mid-section (gun & armbox section). It was in this configuration that '1-7' appeared in nearly all of it's TV appearances from the 1970s onwards. It was how it appeared as the only Dalek in 'The Five Doctors' and also in 'Remembrance Of The Daleks'. The Dalek featured on 'Four Rooms' was also in Remembrance, but had a 'Goon' skirt section under the original mid-section of Dalek Seven. The necks and domes of both Dalek 1-7 and Dalek 7/Goon are far more difficult to date, as a lot of mix and matching went on.

Nice, like a bitesize Terry Nation Army video. I'd watch more of these! Now I might be mistaken, but wasn't this prop, at least in part, used for The Five Doctors?
