No, most of their songs sound more punk-y. There are some good ones though - 'No More Heroes' is a classic.

I have ahard time getting into the Stranglers. I dont know if its because they are too English sounding or what..they just never do much for me compared to any of the punk and post juggernaut bands from Uk in 1976-1980

Yep. Heroin's the least musical drug, as it cancels out all human emotion - happiness; sadness; all neutralised into apathy. So, the idea someone would want to write a song about it (like Another Girl Another Planet) is absurd to me now. (Was it part of a more sinister agenda to normalise drug taking?...)
