Luffy saying “too slow” after dodging 2 pacifista shots and then proceeding to one shot a pacifista is still my favorite One Piece moment. Literally the coldest moment in One Piece idc what anyone says. I replayed that scene so many times when i first watched it. That one scene literally made Return to Saboady a top 5 arc for me. Its insane.

You know why this episodes feels so good and a sense of accomplishment?Because Luffy is finally smiling. Ace death is not what make us sad, but seeing Luffy brokedown is what makes us sad. Thus why when Dadan say Luffy is the one who hurt the most, we deep down understand and admit it. Luffy is so strong physically and mentally. That’s like the first time we ever see him in his lowest point in life. Going through separation with his crew, crazy adventure in Imple Down and Marineford. Finally Ace death. Luffy throwing his two hand on the air with his iconic “I wanna be King of Pirate”, that’s just feel so damn good after all those shits.

@@BoomSentai Honestly, a lot of the One Piece songs released outside of the main series are awesome. Like full versions of Brook's songs or character songs sung by the VA's. Kizaru's character song is freaking majestic, and I love Kid and Law's song (Headliners is the name, I think).

Funny thing it was actually revealed recently in an SBS that those lines on Franky’s forearms ARE hair!! He apparently grafted them onto the metal of his forearms to keep his “manly” look💀💀 Ik your way farther than this on Patreon but I am SO excited to see your reactions to the rest of the wonderful things our boy Franky and the rest of the crew can do! 22:05 Remember when Luffy tried to reach the platform with Ace during Marineford? Admiral Kizaru kicked him with light-speed and said "Too slow". Now Luffy gets targeted with beams of light, dodges them and says *"Too slow"* (Depending on the translation). I love how things like that come back in this anime.

For you it was a couple of months. But for those of us who watched the anime week by week, it took 2 years, 4 months, and 23 days until they reunited (June 14, 2009 - November 6, 2011). I remember crying a lot of emotion that day.

For the record, in real time reading the series and in the series time, when the Strawhats get separated to when they reunion was actually 2 years. So it was really a 2 year reunion.

Can I just say how much I love the Zoro gag in this arc? First, Oda has him be the first to arrive making us think he might have gotten better in terms of his sense of direction.......only to show him pull the same old ctap (if not worse than before) with that ship nonsense. Then he has Zoro lording it over Sanji and keeping track of what order everyone arrived in (literally the first thing out of his mouth when he sees Luffy is to make sure Luffy knows what order they arrived in. Lol), bragging about how he made it here first. And then Oda caps it off by showing that Zoro only made it here at all because Perona lead him by the hand like a toddler. Lmao. And the man never once acknowledges this. Ever.

Yeah actually in the Manga Luffy can activate Gear 2nd on specific limbs only to reduce the negative effects, but I'm guessing since it would be harder to animate that they still have him using Gear 2nd on his whole body in the anime

Never seen him use it on specific parts and I've read the manga up to date, from the wiki "After the timeskip, it appears that Luffy has refined his control over this technique as he has now been shown capable of activating it by swiftly pumping blood from any of his limbs without having to assume his original stance. Luffy's refinement of Gear 2 lead to him using the ability in short, controlled bursts, activating it briefly in order to use individual ability-specific attacks"

@@gloomlusti Yes but he is still only activating it on that specific limb his left arm. In the manga version of the fight with the Pacifista the steam effects are only shown on his left arm even when jumping and punching, but here in the anime even though he activates it like in the manga it still activates meaning steam appears on his whole body. again I think that might be just due to animation issues

Sabaody (manga): 2008 Sabaody (anime): 2009 Return to Sabaody (manga): 2010 Return to Sabaody (anime): 2011 Manga readers and anime watchers LITERALLY had to wait 2 years to see the Strawhats reunited.

@@ahamadfarhan5792 Oda took a 4 weeks break after Amazon Lily, Impel Down, Marineford and Post-war/Grey Terminal, all arcs during which the Strawhats were apart. It took 2 real life years between their separation at Sabaody and them meeting back together after the timeskip
