Very important detail you missed - he won his second Copa del Rey in 2022, captaining Betis to their first title since '05. Arguably the best moment of his career.

Love this guy. Always a fan and grew up idolizing him. Amazing speed, great control, humble, team player, great crosses, etc. I think he was ahead of his time honestly. Imagine if had played with the Spain of Xavi, Iniesta, etc. What a player !

He is 42 years old in July and is still playing regularly for Real Betis in la Liga. He had 21 la Liga appearance's this season and played 29 times in total only scored once but still at 41 nearly 42 years old is insane and Real Betis will finish 6th in the league this season which is Europa League next season for them. Joaquin is a legend Started his career last century in 1999. Only other player that I know at top level who started last century is Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is also 41 but about 8 months younger than Joaquin, and not playing regularly for Ac Milan, as Zlatan only played 4 times for Ac Milan this season.
