THE STREETS OF SANTORINI - Caldera Views | Thera Restaurants | Imerovigli & Skaros Rock
In this video we explore the streets of Santorini on foot. We start off in Imerovigli overlooking the Caldera throughout our entire walk. We weave our way through the beautiful narrow streets with dreamy instagrammable accommodations with pools and hot tubs, we couldn’t stay at one due to low season and Covid but we still got to enjoy all the beauty on offer in this part of the island.
We decided to do the hike up to Skaros Rock which juts out into the Caldera offering panoramic views. Afterwards we walk back through the streets of Imerovigli to explore Thera (Fira), check out the shops and catch the unmissable Santorini sunset! After sunset we head into the main town of Thera which is packed with bars and restaurants, where we grab ourselves some well earned dinner!

And yes, the colors of the Greek flag right from the stairways and walkways. Just inspiring. Wait...medicanes, earthquakes...that was SO 2020. Now back to the views...and you nail it. Though no words can adequately describe it. Just insane, you two!

That view from western Santorini was awesome. There really doesn't seem to be a bad view on the island though. I agree that the white contrast of the buildings on the dark landscape looks amazing. The cats there definitely do have it made. Love the donkeys too. We can't wait to see your upcoming volcano tour!

I am definitely looking forward to going to Santorini...hopefully soon. The contrast of the white buildings with the surroundings is just gorgeous! I don't know how to describe it but the sunlight there seems so intense and unreal. What a dream is must be to eat at one of those restaurants with the amazing views. The sunset is stunning! So glad to see that some stores are still open during covid times. I can't wait to see your next episode...volcanoes and hot springs...how exciting!

White houses on mountain slopes make the best views across Mediterranean! Blue-domed churches remind me of the Southern Spain (there are a few towns like that around Benidorm).

Oh my word, that earthquake seemed pretty hectic, you guys are really getting a taste of Natural phenomenons there in Greece. Ah beautiful Santorini, seriously this island has got to be the most beautiful place on earth. The drone footage you guys got was so beautiful wow. Adam was saying the white houses on the top of the mountain looks like snow in the distance, so absolutely breathtaking. Haha Kirsty, "it's not a day in Greece without seeing a cat" I had a good giggle. Couldn't agree more, the sunset looked absolutely amazing, I can't even begin to imagine how beautiful it was to watch in real life.

We did start to feel like we were unwittingly playing a game of natural disaster bingo 😬😅 Yeh we also thought from a distance it could look like snow, except Greece is always so hot!🥵 it’s so hard to do this place justice it’s so unique and picturesque!

Your videos are just fabulous! We got married in Imerovigli and spent our honeymoon in that hotel you passed on the way to Skaros rock :-) it was absolutely breathtaking! It was so empty, crazy seeing it so quiet but did make it easier to film an ‘interview’ style video there! Would love to say I still had that tan but winter has definitely taken it away now😅

I remember the day of the earthquake, it was so scary 😨 can't believe how strongly you felt it from there as well. Santorini is such a heaven on earth, every corner had such spectacular views! You ironically visited at the best time, it's super empty there!

It was scary enough in Santorini, people were all heading out into the streets, must’ve been terrifying in Turkey. It was so good being there when it was this peaceful, so nice that we extended our stay!

Thank you, it’s different in different islands but anywhere that has a lot of people outside then yes but when walking out in nature with no one else there then it’s not really a problem.

We were there just before Greece went back into lockdown but it happened while we were there and it got very difficult to move around, we have some videos coming up about how we left the island, it wasn’t easy😬😅

Lovely video, how did you use your phone satnav to navigate from town to town? I can imagine it’s easy to get lost x

Santorini is very small and easy to navigate as you just follow along the coastline and caldera. It’s easier to navigate than Kefalonia but again using phone navigation makes it all easier.

Thank you for a really nice video of Santorini. Would be great if you learn how to pronounce the names of cities correctly... it's quite harmful to ears and hearts of the local people (and followers too) to hear the corrupted names... It's not 'Oia" - it's 'Ija'. It's not 'ThEra' - it's 'fira'. Please... However, you did the great job with this video! :)

Anglo-saxons have the bad habit to call every sea the see an "ocean". You see, all Anglo-saxon countries (US, Britain, Australia etc.) are surrounded by oceans. They have to bear in mind though, that a closed sea, like the Mediterranean Sea, is not an ocean!
