Hi man, I'm from Mexico City and I love American rap, but when I heard this song, it blew me away, I was exactly like you driving by with the song on, again and again. It's definitely an epic song. In another song of the same album he says, in 500 hundred years they will play this song in museums, and I believe they will this song. It's great to find someone that likes this song as much as I do. Thanks for the video and energy

Mike was so tough back then... almost everything was perfect. And perfectly him. Not many artist make 2 records that are THEM all the way up and down. He did it.

This album was our album. Mike Skinner captured our world and put it into audio form. Sex drugs and on the dole. 20 years today.

I would say Echoes by Pink Floyd. Also, Tumimpala & The Streets have done a song together!

"Echoes" is a great song, but if I was to choose an epic Floyd Song I'd probably pick "Wish You Were Here".

That is so top tier. Mike was insane when he was younger. When he was droppin all this and putting out Kano beats.

I remember first finding about the streets as a young Australian kid playing a used copy of FIFA 05'. Had nothing but love for Mike Skinner ever since. Most epic song for me has to be Hall of the Mountain King by Savatage.

I can feel the epic in that song - the rapping + the strings so powerful. I listened to the three next videos that popped up of theirs and they are all brilliant. Anyway the original song reminded that 8 Mile for me is an epic song. You could say all lyrics are poetry but rappers to me are the true modern day poets. And sampling is the drug of choice. Anyway my epic song (that if you wanted to listen to and share your thoughts I wouldn't mind) is A Certain Romance by Arctic Monkees. If a song is house, that house has some unbelievably awesome rooms and going from one to the other..........from one fantastic decor to the next.....when I'm in the car with that playing I am absolutely losing it all through the sweet and the loud and all of the myriad of rhythms throughout......

Most epic track :- ‘Apocalypse in 9/8 section onwards, to the end section’, of Suppers Ready,( whole song is too long). Like ‘Turn the Page’ the words ‘and’ music fit the description. Second two choices, (more just musically than lyrically), I’ll bang on about these two again,( like that guy who keeps asking for the Strokes review lol). Starship Trooper, live version from ‘Yessongs’ ... Yes.... epic. Dance On A Volcano/Los Endos ... live version from ‘Seconds Out’.... Genesis .... epic.

Hang on, the lyrics don't mention "money, bling, or hoes", that ain't no rap boy! 😜 Which tbh, ain't a bad thing. Rap is one of my least fav genres but I can see the art in this, and appreciate the poetry. 👍 That book reminds me of a book on graffiti I owned when I was a kid. It was full of funny examples. One that I liked was, somebody writes on a toilet wall "my mother made me a homosexual", and somebody replies underneath with "if I give her the wool, can she make me one too?"
