It’s so lucky that we still have The Strokes in 2020.The New Abnormal is amazing!!! I love all the songs in this album,which I think is unbelievable achievement in this generation.

This is what a guitar band should sound like. One of the most woefully underrated guitar duos of all time. Always melodic, well crafted lines, often running counterpoint to each other and the vocals. Hope I get to see them live one day. My last bucket list concert.

I used to find the Strokes too simple, but I dig their simplicity these days. Don’t overcomplicate and focus on the groove. Really good live experience.

@@KotaWebb at the start, their music was simple. Last Night - guitar player plays the same chord over and over, on the beat. 2nd guitar does something similar. I’m not using simple as a put down, simple is accessible and sticks in your head. This was in fashion at the time - White Stripes are another example.

I've been a big fan of the Strokes since high school, and it was looking pretty bleak after the release of Comedown Machine. So many years of waiting for new music. The New Abnormal made it all worth it. Great, great album.

I haven't got to see them live, and after comedown machine I was sure that it just wont happen for me (expiriencing the "old" style ) needles to say, this set gave me life and something to look forward to after this mess were in now is over.

I am going to be honest, although the first two albums are my favorite albums of the early 2000s, they are pulling off their catalog as a live band a lot better on this and the last few years. Hope everyone is staying healthy and getting along these days!
