[Tidbits & Clarifications] - This episode did an amazing job of Humanizing the Head Captain in the worst of ways. In the initial parts of Bleach, the Head Captain was this symbol of power and order, someone who sat above emotion and merely enforced the law. Here Yamamoto uses his power to be petty, vengeful, and intentionally cruel...it's not about maintaining law or order this time, which makes his sorrowed face at the end particularly sad, he's lost the two things that's made him "him" for the past 2000 years...He's lost Control and he's lost Power and couldn't even avenge those who were killed because of his failure all those years ago. - Many paid attention to the animation in this episode, but the best part for me was the character breakdown of Yama and how well Ywach uses mental tactics to win instead of sheer power. Ywach had Yama's squad and lieutenant killed first, this ultimately turned Yama into a rage monster fighting for revenge - In this arc, Kubo specifically targets the characters he's set up as pillars of comfort, Byakuya, Kenpachi, and Yamamoto... When Kenpachi or Byakuya arrived in Hueco Mundo or in the Fullbring arc we the readers often feel a sense of relief, Even in the Soul Society arc they were ultimately used in a similar fashion, so here Kubo takes our safety net away, Byakuya is the 1st Captain to fall, Kenpachi the Second, and Yama' the Strongest Shinigami for the last 2000 years is broken down and taken out. - It's also pretty messed up that Yama apparently doesn't let those he's slain pass over, he instead stashes it for his undead army. This visualization is important, The leader of the "good guys" has undead souls and creates a firey, hell-like battlefield whereas the "bad guys" have angelic wings, blue energy and church bells ring.

FYI guys The sternritter "Y" the Yourself are twins. The one that Zaraki killed was Loyd Lloyd he can copy the appearance and power/strength of someone. And the one who copied Yhwach was Royd Lloyd, he can copy the appearance, power, and also the memories of someone. The power or strength they copied from someone is not really the same level as the real person tho, so they are not as strong as the real one

It may have been changed in some Q&A, but if we go purely by the manga, Royd does not copy the power. Loyd copies only the power and techniques, while Royd copies only the memories and mind. Another noteworthy thing is, it's their inane ability, not one granted by the Schrift, unlike many other Sternritters. The ability granted by their Scrift (as they share the same), is only to change their appearence, as it was the one thing neither of them copied with their inane ability. To quote the manga: "The reason they were so identical is that they started to copy each other unconsciously even before being born. [...] The older brother, Loyd, was able to imitate people's power and techniques, though not their appearance. The younger brother, Royd, was able to imitate people's memories and mind, though not their appearences."

In a proper 1v1 both Aizen and Yhwach are not willing to take Yamamoto. They need a specific plan to deal with Yamamoto. That's how strong he is.

Keep in mind, 15 million degrees Celsius is the same temperature as the core of the sun. So if Captain Aizen tried to fight Yamamoto back then, he couldn’t get near him even with Kyoka Suigetsu.

His peak was during the fight with Ichibei after absorbing the strength of nearly all the Sternritters as well as dozens to hundreds of lieutenant lvl Soldats.

For clarification. The Sternritter Y are two twins. Lloyd Lloyd who can copy the appearance of others and 100% of their powers. He fought against Kenpachi and died. Royd Lloyd can copy the appearance of others and all of their memories. Additionally he gets 80% of their powers. He fought against Yamamoto. Source: The author of Bleach. That just shows that Yamamoto would have wiped the floor even with a 100% Yhwach. He only lost because his Bankai got stolen.

for some extra info the sternritter yama fought is royd loyd. he has the ability to copy peoples memories, personality, and appearance. however not their power, so yama fought against one of Yhwachs underlings not a clone

MOVIE ANIMATION 🔥🔥 Before launching, Tite Kubo, author of Bleach, said it would be an episode to break the internet. Well, he nailed it! We have several additional ORIGINAL moments from the anime! With that in mind, we have: ** THE TRANSITIONAL SCENES BETWEEN YHWACH AND YAMAMOTO ** Yes! We don't have that in the manga! Throughout the battle, we get small flashes of the first confrontation between them 1000 years ago, when the Original Gotei protected the Seireitei. As some lines remained intact in relation to the manga, we knew that they knew each other and that they had already faced each other. However, without any scene showing this. I really like to say that this adaptation came to tell this Bleach arc in a very unique way, making many aspects (which are already incredible) shine even more! ** THE AIZEN SCENE ** My brother... This was epic! In the manga, there is no conversation between the two, just a flash of him sealed in the Great Underground Prison. The idea is that Aizen had rejected it, but we only had proof of this in the anime! I LOVE THIS ADAPTATION!!! A very questionable CUT we had in the anime was the prologue to THE BIRTH OF BROTHERS LOYD AND ROYD (If you want to read it, it's at the beginning of Chapter 510). Both are Sternritter Y: "The Yourself". Unisex twin brothers who awakened their copying powers in their mother's womb. The older brother "Loyd Lloyd" was killed by Zaraki in episode 5. His power was to copy his appearance and powers. The person fighting Yamamoto is called "Royd Lloyd" and his power is to copy the appearance and memories of others. Royd was ordered to imitate Yhwach's appearance, along with his memories and personality, so that he could fool everyone and buy time until the real Yhwach returned. However, the question remains: WOULD YHWACH LEAVE THIS TASK TO SOMEONE WHO COULDN'T EVEN GET CLOSE TO YAMAMOTO'S FLAMES? I have 3 points: 1. It is said in episode 14 that the Quincy's current power level is much higher than it was 1000 years ago. 2. Yhwach has an immense arsenal of powers. One of them is to control the power level of your subordinates, redistributing powers between them. 3. In episode 3, we see Quilge Opie reporting that Yhwach can strengthen the Sternritters' Blut. This is further proof that Yhwach may have strengthened Royd's Blut before the battle against Yamamoto. Uff... Lots of information! hahahaha Congratulations on the incredible reaction! After the war with asien Yamamoto lost his arm, and probablt didnt get Inoe to heal it back because he old school, looks at that asa battle scar.And now he is weakend and it seems that its true. But Kubo out did him self with the story continuing for soo long, like some of the visard shinigamy are back in sqaud and we didnt get to see many bankais. ALso many of the old generations will get their story part so stay tuned and rmeber the old stories about the caracters.

Aizen taito refused him because he doesn't want anyone ruling over him lol but also Aizen's goal is to become the soul king, to rule above everyone in the current system, while Yhwach wants to destroy everything and make a new universe. Aizen doesn't want that, he wants to keep soul society and the universe as is

Yama wasn't even at 100%, losing an arm is a big deal in Bleach and reduces your strength considerably, so he'd be even crazier if he had both arms. There are 2 Sternritter "Y"s, Loyd Loyd and Royd Loyd, they are twins and have the same power with a little twist Loyd Loyd can copy how you look as well as your strength and powers. Royd Loyd can copy looks, a portion of your strength and your memories.

Kenpachi killed Lloyd and Yamamoto battled Royd, they're twin brothers. Both copy the looks of their enemies. Royd copies memories as you could see with all the flashes in the fight, and Lloyd copies powers. It's explained more in the manga, but was skipped in the anime.

"No one can face Yamamoto's bankai " yet Royd Lloyd did faced by just copying Yhwach memories in 100% and 80% power ( "80% power" according to what Kubo said in Klub Outside) You should realize his schrift ROYD Lloyd Sternritter "Y" - "THE YOURSELF" that's the name of his Quincy special ability of him and his twin LlOYD Lloyd they both share the same schrift "Y" BTW QUINCIES SCHRIFT or "Holy letter" are most important during this arc atleast pay attention on it . Especially Quilge Opie's schrift "J" stands for "THE JAIL" I think you missed that info last episode

They're twins, the person that kenpachi kill is a twin brother of the guy who copied yhwach and act as him to distract all gotei 13 including yamamoto, for the real yhwach to go to underground prison and talk to aizen

If the real Yhwach was there the fight would have just ended a little sooner right after he yoinked the Bankai. Yama got stepped on like a roach. He's nothing in the face of Yhwach just old and arrogant.

Because YH couldn't use his true power yet, that's why he used dirty tactics to win such as stealing bankais and tricked Yamaji. He also did that to humiliate the soul reapers since they have a grudge for losing the war 1000 years ago. So this time they use any means to win the war

The thing is Yamamoto Bankai should be so strong that It should atleast destroy a lil moon , he got hugely nerfed .... The thing is Yamamoto can kill yhwach if its 1000 years ago , he cannot kill the present yhwach cuz he has the almighty and became way stronger like the transcendent being and the pinnacle of Bleach verse

King Quincy takes down Yamamoto at full strength. At the moment, he is deprived of the main ability, just like a thousand years ago, which is why he lost to Yamamoto.
