happened a few times... i've also been kicked from groups, because i've been consistently top DPS, and the group leader didn't like being second best dps. xD

I had a group, TBC I think, in Deadmines where the warlock kept life tapping, and I was always OOM from healing him. So on a bigger pull I just let him die. The tank (who was the locks friend and party lead) got pissed at me. I told him my job was to keep the tank alive, not subsidize a locks mana pool. His response was "Then I am not going to subsidize your experience." and kicked me from the group. Probably for the best, since if he hadn't kicked me I was going to give him some malicious compliance by going OOM healing the lock so the party wiped.

I had a friend that always is leader group, and when she is tanking and I'm the healer, you can't even sit for mana, and if you try to fight your rights you'll be kicked from group. But when she is the healer and you the tank, you can't heal yourself and poor if you dare to pull and she is run out of mana, not only she won't heal you, also she will kick you from group XD

Every time this happens, a piece of my soul is chipped away and cast into the great dark abyss never to be seen again.

Healers got to learn to stand up for themselves more, if all healers that warned that they where out of mana just kept drinking, and just let the tank die without ever healing the dumb tank the classic wow would be a better place cause you would need less repairs cause you did not agro the mobs by healing the tank so they will run back to positions after tank is dead. That said often it is not the tank that is the problem but the dps thinking they can pull extra for some reason or decide the dungeon pace. Like in dungeons if something goes wrong 80 to 85% it is dumb dps ninja pulling deciding the pace for themselves. That said i do love it when i as healer get a good tank, that has the same self value as i have. That when they see the dps ninja pull, decide the phase that they won't take aggro of those mobs but just stand there like i do and let that fucktard die. It are the best tanks ever.

Dude if that is my bought water I'm drinking you can be sure that I will not stop to drink until my mana bar says 100%.

And then when you stop to drink.. they leave you there. So even when you have full mana.. you're still so far behind the group that you can't even heal while they're dying.

That's how it feels when you're forced to interrupt drinking time when the group rushes ahead to die as far away as possible from you

Sure, pull mobs while I drink as long as you think you can handle it a few seconds without a heal and your heal is nearby! How many times did the tank die because I was still running in their direction like shown in the video and I could only watch them die.

As a sassy healer, I would simply stay seated and continue drinking and not join the battle, instructing the DPS to also not join. Then I would rez the tank and rebuff him/her(?) when my mana bar is full and tell the knuckle-head to be more mindful of my mana bar next time. lol

When I tank I watch the healers mana and I will wait for the heller to drink up and get mad before I pull again unless I'm not really struggling or taking that much damage and I'm seeming to be holding my own I'll ask the healer if it's okay to go ahead and pull while they drink

Well us healers love tanks like you :) It isn't necessary to start into a fight with 100% mana but it's a creepy feeling to go into it with just 20 or 30%.

I have literally been kicked from group for telling the healer to mana up: because he was half bar and we were about to hit a choke point that almost always chain pulls several groups. [smh]

And in situations like this I'd always listen to the tank :D He's the group leader in my opinion, he decides wich mobs to pull where and when to go on and the person who usally should know best about the mechanics of each dungeon. I'd actually love to have a tank that tells me to mana up when he thinks it's appropriate!

I never understood the need to blame the healer for the tank being a bit too reckless. I could understand if you died and the healer wasn't trying to heal. But if the healer is at least trying, then why bother getting upset? I'm not very familiar with WoW yet, but even in games where I'm much more familiar, like FFXIV, I'll ask the healer what adjustments I need to make for them to be able to heal comfortably. It's a game, we're meant to enjoy it.

I've never had the group back me up. Usually the tank kills himself, just blames the healer blindly and votekicks, and everyone votes yes without even thinking or blinking.

YES. YES YES YES. And sometimes, you’ll have a tank who’s not very “tanky or good” and is also going down at the same rate as the warlock. So you’re trying to heal the tank because that’s priority and the lock is like omg why am I dead??

I dont mond when they life tap, jist not excessively. Thay way they dps faster therefore clese dungeon faster. Teamwork makes the dream work...

Clarkem honestly, unless you’re above level 45 as a warlock, with the exception of the utilization of hellfire/mage farm runs and summon--you’re more of a burden on your group than useful. And that’s coming from someone who mains lock. Mage is really only the one caster dps that can maintain a steady mana pool without constantly drinking and when they do drink, they can afford to with ease rather having to worry about that 40 silver they just spent on a few drinks. Poor shadow priest has it the worst out of all of the range casters-which can even be MORE of a burden given you use your entire mana pool just to keep up with the rest of the dps in the group who’s killing trash mobs. It goes: Mage>Lock>Shadow priest, unless you get the rare exception of having a Boomkin or an Elemental Shaman, which those are a needle in a haystack stick everyone is running feral and enhancement. Edit: since* everyone is running feral and enhancement.

PermaFr0st as a shield and 1h protection tank, I take offense to that.

Meh as heals as I always let my arms warrior buddy 2hander tank until later in game. Quicker and more fun. But we've both played together for a while so I actually trust him. Some pug tank not so much.

It's because there are some hardcore pro healers out there, and having them heal you is addictive! After them everyone feels slow and bad.. So I guess some tanks get the feel of the easy life (amazing healers) and can't quite go back to the slow life average healers provide..
