I love hearing about how god works in our lives. Today was a good day for me to hear this. My family has been going through some issues & I know god will get us through but sometimes the walk to get there is tough. Praise god I recently came across your videos & am in awe of how far Isabelle & Mika have come. Looking at the pictures I doubt Isabelle would still be with us had you not brought her home & loved her. God put her where she belonged

I do not believe they can leave a patient without medication like that! It is detrimental to stop cold turkey, you needed to call your doctor. Report the pharmacy.

Symptoms of gabapentin withdrawal may include nausea, dizziness, headaches, insomnia, and anxiety. The safest way to stop using gabapentin is to taper off the medication

I worked in pharmacy for over 30 years. They were hometown pharmacies. We were way more lenient than corporate pharmacies. We still followed protocol, but didn't have the CEO's and such holding a hammer over our head. We would of filled the script since it was only a couple days early. I'm so thankful God heard your cry, and it helped the situation. It is so good to see Izzy, eating real food. Does she still have to take her bottles for nourishment? Little Mika, is so adorable. She is doing so many things. Her picture was so cute!! Keep up the great work Ashley. You truly are a ROCKSTAR, and never lose sight of that. I have taken gabapentin for my neuropathy that I got from my chemo for my breast cancer in 2016. I still take it and instead I take pregablin. It is true, they will calculate the 30 days from the day you pick it up. Look on your medicine container and on there will have the date printed on it. Or on your the sticker they have that is inside the paper bag where your meds are in. I know the waiting is crazy. Sometimes if you explain, they can talk to the pharmacist to give you maybe 2 days worth for the time being. I know how it feels to be low on meds, I had issues before (too long to say) but I am sorry what you are going through. WOW!!! You know, I am making comments during your video by stopping it and then continuing it. I am so glad evreything worked out and your prayers were answered. HOORAY!!!! AMEN!!! Your nails looks great, they also match your sunglasses, LOL.

That's how I showed my kids. I am a lefty so I had to teach myself, so I taught my kids that way and they have taught their kids . Those two girls are beautiful. I can't believe that the pharmacy wouldn't even let you buy like 5 days worth because of the misshap. So happy you were able to get it filled. God works all things for good. I’ve experienced similar problems with Walgreens & my minor child’s medicine. I switched to a local “Mom & Pop” pharmacy because they’re much more reasonable & understanding. It really is up to the pharmacist & those big chain pharmacies have them follow very strict rules with no exceptions. It’s not right in my opinion

Trisha, I agree! Here’s a quick example of why…the company I work for is in cahoots with CVS so we were forced to switch. Otherwise, our Rxs wouldn’t be covered at all (I wasn’t happy about that). So when I called to see if my order was ready, I was told that my 1 Rx of 30 pills was $600! So of course, I was like, who can afford that?! They were completely content with me either paying that ridiculous amount of $ or not picking it up at all. Thankfully, my ‘Mom & Pop’ pharmacy mentioned to me a while back that they have used a manufactures coupon & would renew it every year for me automatically, which reduced my cost to $5. So when I mentioned this to CVS, they basically said that if I want the coupon, I’m going to have to do all the leg work myself. So I did & I got it but not with any help from CVS. Oh, & 1 more thing, big, rich CVS charges to deliver, while my little pharmacy will deliver for free. That’s so crazy to me! And btw, when did Gabapentin become a controlled substance? Also Ashley, I hope you never run into this problem again, but just in case, I’m almost positive that your insurance will pay for 1 spilled or lost med once a year, so maybe try calling your insurance company and use a ‘Mom & Pop’ pharmacy. Just a suggestion! Btw, your girls are doing amazing & flourishing! Your an amazing mama! ❤️ (sorry for the novel🤷🏻‍♀️)

Just an 💡 idea! I bet you have used the hand crank baby food grinders. My kids never liked baby food except the fruit but they loved eating whatever we had for dinner. You just put it in the little grinder, as little or as much as she wants. They do have electric ones but the hand ones are so simple. All your beautiful babies big & little are just doing so wonderful. Praying you get to welcome your youngest daughter soon!! ❤

I saw this little girl in that pitiful condition that was so devastating when you and Stan picked her up in China. Now she’s healthy and happy! I understand your predicament. I’m an 80 year old retired nurse who worked until 78 and am now in the end stages of Scleroderma and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Add scoliosis and degenerative arthritis. I have an insane amount of pain. For the last 7 years I’ve been on the same dose of pain medication. No matter what happens, the amount I’m dispensed is all I get. All but one pharmacy treats us seniors like we’re major addicts. FYI not nearly as many people abuse their meds as is reported. My doctor admits I need an increase but the DEA is so hard to deal with, he puts it off.

Hi Ashley! I’m so glad that Izzy was finally able to get the medication she needed. God is good! Mika is such a great helper. I love how she shows concern for her sister. Little Miss Independent is growing up so fast! Great job on learning how to tie your shoes, Mika! So proud of you! Ashley, I’ve been walking a lot more & getting back to exercising too. It definitely helps clear the mind & get you going. Worship music always uplifts my spirits & motivates me because I know that if God is with me, I’m never alone. One of my favorites is Jordan St Cyr’s “Fires”. Such a positive & uplifting song. I’m glad everything worked out for Izzy & now you can rest easy knowing she’s comfortable. Looking forward to seeing the bed canopy you purchased for her. Wish I knew about that when my “little monsters” were younger. They used to wake up & get into EVERYTHING! Ha! I can laugh about it now, but at the time it was exhausting!

Praying for y’all! I’m the mama of a precious special needs daughter and fully understand! So hard!!!!! We had to end up turning the doorknob around so it locks from the outside of our daughters room so she couldn’t escape. It’s for her safety. Praying she starts sleeping good again SOON!

Your pharmacy can’t make that decision about not letting you have your medicine if your physician calls it in they can’t make the decision not to give it to you only your physician can deny you . You need to go to a different pharmacy Now insurance may not cover it because it’s early. But the pharmacy does not have the right

Thank you for sharing this! I was feeling overwhelmed this evening. We are moving to a new house in a few weeks. Hoping to sell our current house before the end of the year. Getting our adult kids moved to their new place(still waiting for God and what He’s going to do on this one♥️). I won’t bore with the rest but you reminded me to lean into my Heavenly Father. Prayer! Why is it easier sometimes to go straight to worry when we need to turn to prayer? I have no problem doing that for others but I don’t always do it for myself. Hi there, the best way is to ask the doctor to ask for a couple of days supply more then a month. Also he can write as directed after the initial directions. Liquids can evaporate that’s why there can be less. The pharmacy is not working with you and not calling the insurance. Sorry for your inconvenience

Try using CVS or a private pharmacy (best option). I've had similar issues with Walgreens but resolved these types of problems by using a private pharmacy. It's nice that you were able to get the medicine you needed. However, a Walgreens pharmacist is just that, a pharmacist, not a doctor or gatekeeper. So frustrating when a doctor is trying to do the right thing for a patient, and these issues arise.

I get the same medicine. I have a private run place I go for it. If I accidentally spill that medicine or any other they will replace it as long as my doctor sends a request. I had so many problems with regular pharmacies. I understand the sleeping problems with my medical issues. May God bless you with extra strength.

Ashley, Gabapentin would help your arthritis a lot! My rheumatologist prescribes it for me and I have fibromyalgia and RA. Try finding a small independently owned local (non-chained) pharmacy (they are hard to find but pray to find one) because even though they can't bend the law, there are loving, concerned pharmacists out there who will try to offer helpful ideas and suggestions to help you through these difficult, unusual circumstances! I hope this helps! You look beautiful by the way! PS: So proud of Mika! She's darling and IZZY too! 🙂

The reason why the date that you can get it changed is because when you call in a refill, the pharmacy packs it up but they don't actually register it in the computer until you pick it up. The computer holds the 30 day clock record, so if you pick it up on a different day it resets the record. The reason they do this is so that if you don't pick up a medication or if a medication gets called in by mistake, they can put it back without having to mess up the computer records.

Ashley neurontin is not a narcotic it's just Walgreens pharmacy has stipulations they have to follow I used to be a pharmacy tech and it depended on the pharmacist and this was also pre-covid or they would give you a couple days until your insurance covered it. you might want to look into her medications and what you can get filled early due to stipulations or accidents good luck and you can also see if you can get a 90-day supply

For Mika Ella I have really sensitive skin and I swear I can only use this one soap - It's Kiss My Face Olive Oil soap and it's 100% pure olive oil and nothing else. I have used it for 2 decades and my Dad even started using it after me and he liked it too. :) We don't have dark skin but loved it gentleness. Of course the African Black Soap is also made from olive oil and you can get that at Walmart. Happy you have a routine that works for you but I love to share this soap with people because everything else causes irritation. :D Much love to you and your girls.

The pharmacist can make a judgement call. This would’ve been an appropriate time to fill the 3 day supply. People all the time lose or have medication “loss” and need the regulation override. That pharmacist *should have filled the 3 day supply* I had a medication supply - alllllll stolen at the Goodwill and they couldn’t fill it. I had to present a police theft report form to the pharmacist. (I left my purse in my cart after loading my car outside) Realised this on my way down the road - about 3 miles out. I didn’t have a phone, anything to even call, I had my keys because I’d used them to open the trunk and car. So we searched the store and outside the store. I tried to get them to view footage from the other stores. The police officer treated me like crap. Someone finally came up to the front before I left defeated and said - is this yours? In the female bathroom they found my purse emptied dumped behind the trash. If I hadn’t have called the police, I guess I’d had to go through 29 days without meds.

Gabapentin withdrawl can have serious side effects like vomiting, nausea and severe headaches. My husband had 2 spinal surgeries and I've seen the effects first hand if you stop Gabapentin cold turkey. So sorry Issy has to go through that. Walgreen's sucks! Id switch pharmacies.

According to insurance there are certain “ carry over “ days that if you’ve ever picked a script up early they will add that in and it is an unpleasant surprise. They are also supposed to release scripts early ( up to 4 times a year) with Drs ok. I’m surprised they are doing this to you. Sad for you and sweet Izzy who is firing on all cylinders Maybe some extra time in the pool will calm things some. Prayers momma!!

So I take meds which help me sleep and help with mental health and I have my doctor prescribe a two pills with that mg. One for morning or one for evening. BUT - I only take one of them. I like to have a back-supply for a really bad night and need to take 2. My doctor is FINE with it. I see a really good psychiatrist and because I'm already on such a LOW dose that most people take 3 to 4 times that amount, he lets me get 100 mg twice a day and I just take 100 most nights. I recommend this for you so you can get a supply.

Please next time it leaks, spilled , ir whatever reason, take a picture/ video of it and if bring it to pharmacist, they’ll honor this snd help you out. As this medication should not be stopped abruptly. If this pharmacist fail to help you out, then next step us her physician. Nay God Bless You and your family. ♥️

Oh I'm proud of Mika Ella and Izzy eating wonderful. God take control of the challenges and fix them in Jesus name amen. I wonder if you have more personal contact and personal time also talk with Izzy it will help her to relate more. Forget about the challenges and treat her normal as one without challenges

We talk to Isabelle all the time. We tell her what’s coming next. Where we’re going. Trust me, she gets tons of interaction from everyone.

I’m just saying about giving her peanut butter I would give her a drink or applesauce in between. That’s difficult for her to swallow I’m not trying to b a no it all but I just wanted to mention that

Go to another pharmacy . It’s not fair on the child
