I'm old school , triple OG .West Philly born & raised in 1946 .Sang R&B for over sixty years . Still do when the spirit moves me .Sang with people that knew Ms .Creed .Sad situation but the songs she wrote for the Spinners and many others live on .l Sang a lot of the songs by groups that became known as the Philly sound .O' Jay's ,Delphonics ,Intruders ,Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes ,the Tymes , and many others and of course the Stylistics .ln my humble opinion " Brand New " is one of the prettiest songs ever released and sung by one of the most dynamic voices in music and a Philly legend . Don't blast me but my favorite group of all time is and always will be the original Temptations .R . I . P . Props to Dennis Edwards ,not easy to take over for David ,who ,at that time was still a living legend in his own right . From the Fifties right up to today, September 9,2018 all the songs and the groups that l was blessed to have seen & heard will live on in my heart until the Good Lord calls me home .

Precious love, You held my life within your hands, created everything I am, Taught me how to live again. Only you, Care when I needed a friend, believed in me through thick and thin, This song is for you, filled with graditude and love... [Chorus:] God bless you, you make me feel brand new, For God bless me with you, you make me feel brand new, I sing this song 'cause you, make me feel brand new. My love, When ever I was insecure, you built me up and made me sure, You gave, my pride, back to me. Precious friend, With you I'll always have a friend, your someone who I can depend, To walk a path that sometimes bends. Without you, Life has no meaning or rhyme, like notes to a song out of time, How can I repay, you for havin' faith in me... My love, When ever I was insecure, you built me up and made me sure, You gave, my pride, back to me. Precious friend, With you I'll always have a friend, you're someone who I can depend, To walk a path that sometimes bends. Without you, Life has no meaning or rhyme, like notes to a song out of time, How can I repay, you for having faith in me God bless you, you make me feel brand new, For God blessed me with you, you make me feel brand new, I sing this song 'cause you, make me feel brand new.

In 2010 while I was living in Vegas, I got a locals pass for a concert. It was small venue, not more than 200 people. With 4 R&B groups from the 70's. Included the Stylistics, the Delfonics and two other groups. We were so close to the performers. One of the best concerts ever.

When I say I wish I could go back to those days and times it's not to recapture my youth but so I could hold the love of my life just one last time. Rest in paradise my beloved. So many unforgettable memories attached to this song and era of time.

this song reminds me of the first time my mom told me that she loved me, i was 28 yrs old and this song was playing on the radio & i told her that everytime i heard this song that i would think of her, well she passed away 2 yrs later and i still cry like a baby each and every time..

***** How sad that you had to wait 28 years to hear your mother tell you she loved you, only to lose her two years later. Children should know they are loved as soon as they can communicate and understand communication. At least you heard it in her lifetime, and you now have a memory to carry you with you.

I cannot describe how I feel after listening to this song. Am in another time, a time of ecstasy - no other feeling compares and is undescribable for the emotion felt. Please, can I be transported back to those wonderful days. Thank you.
