Agree totally. Had all albums on CD. Tried and tried and tried to "get over it", but sorry, Einar ruined their catalog. IMHO, every song would be better w/o any contribution vocally from him. Back in the day, the radio stations would frequently opine the same thing. Ugh. Re-master?

listening to the sugarcubes always reminds me of my mom because they are one of her favorite bands of all time. specifically this one story she told me about when she went to a sugarcubes concert in the late 80s. she was in the front row and between songs, bjork spotted some bald guy in the front of crowd and went to slap his bald head. she ended up missing and just smacked my mom square in the face. she told me bjork looked horrified afterwards

Björk is an absolute genius when it comes to translating emotion to sound and vision. Almost too much currently. Her new stuff is like visiting a future museum where every piece is almost overwhelming in it's ability to evoke the emotional response of the viewer. Nice for a visit but It would be hard to live there. The dynamics of the Sugarcubes on the other hand, where the emotions come across as highs and lows, the squeals of joy and the growls of distain all mixed up with the driving beat and noodley guitar is the kind of sound art that I want around my house and often have. Thank you, Björk!

Trivia: what Bjork is singing in the refrain is “Eg og hann, Eg og hann!” Icelandic translation: “Me and him, me and him!” When I first heard the song I thought she was singing “Gedren! Gedren!” (The evil queen in Red Sonja)

@@goliaboi YES! I thought it sounded cool, unique, and exotic as heck, but I wasn't AT ALL sure or clear what(?!) she was chanting. @Mike Brannon -- THANK YOU for ending a lyrical mystery that's existed, since early 1992, for me...and, apparently, many others.

+bluedasher74 This was also how I came across Bjork and I still have this original song on 12 inch vinyl today. She's also made some great tracks like 'All is full of love' which has to be my favourite.

Same here.. '92, I was in the army then and I remember the video clip was played a lot on MTV (was still good in those days). I fell in love with Björks beauty and talent from the start.
