Oh, oh and I almost forgot...the solar system tablet clearly shows differences in the various sizes of the planets. Based on the order, it details that Earth was bigger than Mars, Jupiter much larger than Mars and (Jupiter) just a bit bigger than Saturn, etc. Fun/debatable topic. Thank you all so much for watching. Many, many more videos to come - huge list awaits, and I will soon be able to upload more often! - Jimmy

The powers that be do not want the masses to be smart or educated. The world is actually still highly religious despite the rise of heretical atheists. Religion bought their power through control and scaremongering of the masses - they have their tentacles in our schools/hospitals/libraries etc, it's a behemoth of single mindedness. Slowly we unshackle these chains but it will take awhile to happen but people like Jimmy help us break through with insight! Love this stuff, keep it coming Jimmy - disclosure of all types will happen unless we end up in a nuclear pea soup!

My history teacher taught us about the Sumerians. He taught us a lot more then was required. He didn't like the textbooks because some of the most important things in history were not in the textbook. The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade had one paragraph. However, there was a whole chapter describing what feudalism was.

Isn't that completely normal? Slavery has happened throughout history dating thousands and thousands of years back, I don't see why the Trans-Atlantic slave trade would need an entire chapter whereas Feudalism is actually vital for us to understand in order to understand the development of capitalism. Heck, if you want to understand why the Trans-Atlantic slave trade happened in the first place you need to understand feudalism and the economic incentives. I understand why it may seem relevant to you if you're an American because "muh history" and understanding racial discrimination in society, but seriously, claiming that the slave trade deserves a whole chapter but not feudalism is fucking stupid and just proves how inept and ignorant you are (tbh fam). Can't learn about the slave trade without knowing the financial incentives.

I learned about the Sumerians for about 2 of my lessons, each being 3 hours long. My professor makes sure to tell us all about things that are being discovered recently and he even says "this isn't in your text books but this is something to think about..." and would continue to go way off topic, in terms of the book. Not every teacher or professor are the same and go everything by the book.

Great video! I agree with you 100%. I have been learning about all of the past civilizations that school doesn't even come close to introducing us to. Every single one of those civilizations was better informed and possibly smarter in my opinion. They had knowledge that people today use computers for. Where would our civilization be without technology? I bet we wouldn't come close to becoming a great civilization with thousands of years under our belt. But the King's lists ( both sumerian and egyptian) tell us that both civilizations were around for quite a long time indeed. I applaud you for bringing this info to the masses! Thank you and keep up the good work.

Im 27 and these days im a little bit scared of death simply because of all the beautiful potential i see in this world and human kind. We could literally build castles in the sky with strong engines and be more or less safe from what is propably coming in a couple of years or decades. But all i see is people still building houses on land or even near the ocean and i still see humans fight about resources and power. All i see is a Elon Musk building nonsense Rockets that will eventually put us on a really shitty planet called mars, those missions alone will propably most likely in the first years kill a shit ton of people up there. The answer is not another planet, the answer is right in front of us. Im living in germany and do not feel safe at all if i do not close my eyes for reality like most people do. I simply cant go back watching Netflix and playing videogames and work from home all day i feel like i need to change things. Why im telling you this? How does a 80 year old look at life and are you actually still scared of death?

Great short instructional video. As a matter of fact, I am watching a long video about the Sumerians civilization and you are right when you state that they do not teach enough in school now a day. I first heard of the Sumerians in my early school years and even thou I've taken additional history courses in college during my lifetime, no much is dedicated to the teaching of this ancient culture that greatly contributed to civilizations reaching out to our own times. Oh my Lord! You are seriously my new hero. I just discovered your channel a few days ago, and have been slowly absorbing your videos in my downtime. All of the topics I have watched you discuss thus far make total and complete sense. And I love how you use science to back it up. I guess what I am trying to say is that I have been fascinated with these topics of our early history for years... however, there really is not much info on these theories (which again make complete sense) our there. Not even on the internet. Most of the time when I roll across a video or essay that seems promising, it either reverts to a literal biblical interpretation, or a so far beyond belief science fiction / conspiracy theory that is just becomes unwatchable / unreadable within the first five minutes. Kudos to you, my friend. I am a fan of yours for life. And btw, I am a veteran of the same war as you. Cheers!!

I can say, from more of an insider perspective (having worked with someone that had done translation of the Sumerian tablets), that the primary reason there’s so many lying around untranslated is that it’s difficult and because there is a very limited supply of people that can read them. I personally have been tempted to try and learn and join one of the fellowships that’s devoted to the slow translation of them.

I love your stuff and your sincere curiosity. Thank you. Minor point: The overwhelmingly most obvious reason for seven special stars or planets is that there have always been seven special heavenly bodies visible to the naked eye: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. They're the celestial objects that move relative to the rest of the stars, and the five that look like stars don't twinkle the way fixed stars do. This is why those seven have always been central to astrology. It's also why we have seven days in a week and why they're named the way they are (and in the order they are, although that's a bit complicated to say here briefly - it has to do with what's called "planetary hours").

I see there is still hope. Finally soldiers are waking up, to see, that they are objects off higher authority, which doesn't care for there well being but is there strictly for it's own benefit. Number of dead soldiers doesn't mean crap to them as long ass they get there agenda through. May it be political or economical agenda, and in most cases those two are combined. And that is the way to better world, when people recognize that there is more to us than oil, money and war. And there is no fast way to "freedom". My philosophy is that first of all I have to make a change in my life and with that perhaps some of my family and friends will start to think with there heads and spread that to their family and friends and so on and so on. I don't have the energy, time and will to change the world. But I would consider me a fraud if I wouldn't be willing to make changes in my own life. My world. My every day. We have the privilege to live in times where you have a chance to check everything for your self. First you learn something in school, media or job and than you can come home and surf the WWW and see the other side of the coin. For there are always two sides of a story. I'm no fan of Hitler or Nazis, but when I saw a documentary on "what historians are not telling us" (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qpZ1kqioyp7LYo0.html) I had to pause it somewhere in the middle, because I was angry and I wanted to brake something, for there is a chance that we are being lied our whole life. I'm not saying it's the ultimate truth, but it's seems plausible, and if it is true, than we need to be afraid of the resources and ability of these "shadow organizations" that operate out in the open, and we are being misled from our birth to acknowledge them as something that we have to live with, no meter the cost. And the cost is unfortunately very high. Just ask over 1M fathers and mothers of dead US soldiers. And mother and fathers of dead children in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine, Libya,.. They paid the ultimate price for no parent should ever bury their own children.

It depends on what type of history being taught. When it comes to world history in high school, there are a couple different versions usually most schools teach modern world history which is from the renaissance on up. We then have regular world history which cuts short all ancient world history except the egyptians, greeks, and romans. However AP World history easily covers the Sumerians. IB world history has focal points in its approach, like Revolutions, World Wars, or the Cold War. But overall there is no cover up. It is ancient material and with all ancient material there is much we do not know. So in teaching schools typically focus more on the stuff we do know.

Even in U.S. history (it was a little of everything from the beginning of recorded history that lend to the start of the US). What I remember from school back then was that there was parents always trying to stop the school from teaching about it. Saying it went against their personal believes.

In Europe we are taught about them. We even learn in literature about "Epyc of Gylgamesh". You should read it. Its quite nice and really humbling to notice you read a story from 4000 years ago. As for instruments. The oldest found flute was in modern Slovenia. Wiki search "Divje Babe Flute" aroudn 45000 BC. For planets. You don't need telescopes to track planets. I don't know the English terms, but you have static and mobile stars. Mobile stars here are planets. Static stars are stars. You need a simple wooden plank with a scale on it and a few nails and you can track movements on. That is also how Tycho Brahe followed them and made the huge sets of data on all the planets for Copernicus to make his theory with.

someone A slight correction here ; Neanderthals were also humans. The word 'human' literally means an animal from the genus homo. Throughout history and even before that we've had different species of "humans" walk the earth like homo erectus, homo rudolfensis, homo ergaster and many more. The last of our siblings (homo floresnsies) died about 10,000 years ago. Our species differed, but we all fell under the umbrella of 'Humans'.

When talking about the lifespan of a group, such as the Sumerians, it includes infant mortality which was higher in the past. All of those early deaths brings down the average quite a bit. People still lived into their 60s and 70s and perhaps even older back then. It's a common misunderstanding of what life expectancy really means. :)

Uhhh, the thing on Pluto. It's designation was changed because they started to find other 'planets' that are bigger or close in size to Pluto(Eris being the first). The initial idea was to have Ceres, Eris, and Pluto's moon Charon (making pluto and charon twin planets) all planets as well, bringing the count to 12. Eventually they realized that if it kept going that way they would have hundreds of main planets. Many scientists in the field met in a conference to decide what exactly should be what characterizes a planet. Unfortunately Pluto was the only one of the original planets that didn't meet all 3 classifications and was thus relegated to a dwarf planet, along with the newly found Eris, Ceres and others. This classification is purely for the scientists as it will help them with things like what to look for in other star systems, exoplanets, etc. Pluto is still out there, no one is denying it's existence, nothing has changed. If within conversation one still wants to consider Pluto a planet that's fine but just know that it's official classification has changed within the scientific community to make their lives easier. There is nothing to 'grow up' about. The current experts on the subject, the ones who know a lot more than you on the topic, have decided to change it's classification as it's made the most sense to them. In the end though, having Pluto classified as a dwarf planet or just planet, changes nothing in reality. It's still a heavenly body with the same orbit, size, shape, density etc it's always had.

Yes after the flood the fallen ones gave man certain types of knowledge which the Sumerians being the major power of the time, used this knowledge. Whatever you believe about them I think the reason its not taught in schools is because it would take a massive overhaul and rewriting of textbooks while admitting that it was taught wrong for centuries. This along with antediluvian history.

It's very unlikely that the Sumerian flood myth in the Epic of Gilgamesh has anything to do with the global rise in sea level that you're referring to. It's important to realize that the great Sumerian cities were nestled in the fertile soils on the floodplain between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. This area of land was, as the name floodplain suggests, prone to flooding when the rivers overflowed. We've all seen videos of how devastating it is when a major city is flooded, and some of us have personally experienced great floods, so it isn't hard to imagine that when theirs and nearby cities experienced one of these floodings, it must have seemed to them that the entire world had been flooded.

So one soldier (whom you have never met before nor do you know past history or mental state of) mentions a vague, brief, negative aspect about a war he was in and this is ALL it takes to confirm your suspicions? Ironic that you should use the name "freeyourmind88." In reality your comment proves that you have mentally castrated and sterilized your own brain. On top of this, you have done it ALL on a volunteer basis.

It doesn't matter what the soldiers tells us. What matters is the things written in our history-books. Iraq war among thousands of lies, will be portrayed in our history-books and shoved down in our throats as "facts" as they want it to be, the "winners" and the profiteers that is, not the Americans nor Iraqis, but the clans and families at power..

Cheers to the veterans who found out the real truth and spread the info to everyone else! I myself am a veteran of the army and did 15 months as part of operation forward presence which was an air defence operation during oif/oef. And it took that to make me understand the truth behind all the lies that everyone was being fed about the Iraq "war".

I knew it was a lie from the beginning. I saw news reals where they were trying to make it look like mobs were having fits when in fact there were maybe 50 people. They've been messing with our News for a long, long time.

joshua Stanaway well to start. I'm just gonna say I'm glad I discovered Jimmy's channel. He's very interested in speaking and spreading the truth. Now as for what my job entailed me to do was just provide air defense, however I did maintenance on the Patriot system. I was only 20 when I joined back in 2006 so what I knew about the Iraq "conflict" was that we were helping provide support. Ok so here's the other side. There's an airbase in Qatar. The biggest in the middle East it's no secret. It's still there in full operation. Now what does Qatar have to do with the war anyway? Here's what they don't tell you. And what I learned. They are paying us to protect them. They have so much in minerals and fossil fuels to pay us with. And UAE and Saudi Arabia. Which I didn't know about until I started looking into it. I wasn't told any of this. And since AUAB is the biggest coalition force in the world pretty much. All the United Nations are there pretty much. Aussies Japanese Korean etc etc. Which is fine and all. But to fight isis and Al Qaeda who's technology spans from whatever arms dealers they got their shit from is nothing compared to these multi billion dollar systems. With which....have almost a 35% accuracy- which Raytheon and Lockheed won't tell in their websites-...we get paid to provide protection to these so called Democratic countries- and since the petrodollar is only good if countries recognize it there's no problem. Syria and Iraq and north Korea are definitely not about the petrodollar and neither is Russia or China. The turmoil in the middle East has become endless. Until those countries give up their oil and minerals. Now honestly I don't care if this is something that the masses are Not supposed to know. But if you hide the truth, is it still lying? That's my best response to this thread. And feel free to ask more if you'd like. Just look it up also Even wikipedia has some info. But Raytheon Lockheed and Boeing are the three biggest drains of taxpayer money and they need to be stopped. They get all these tax breaks and the tax payers get shit for healthcare and shit for representatives. And now we have Trump.

oil was the reason america went there to begin with. NEVER, for one instant, believe that america is a "good" country protecting the people. that war was for the oligarchs, the accumulation of more wealth and resources, and the people themselves are the one's who paid the price.

So great to hear a knowledgeable scholar give their thoughts on a topic that they have an in-depth grasp of. It would be great if you could substantiate your claim about the heliocentric solar system depicted on the tablet with some written evidence which in fact mentions such a solar system and confirms your interpretation of it. That would make your argument sound convincing instead of being perceived as mere subjective speculation.

@Raphael Bors you should probably d your reaserch before stating anything as facts. look through history and the catholic church has fought against science for most of its existence. they have spent huge ammounts of times gathering and locking away hitorical texts as if they are somehow entitled to them and have the right to deny them to everyone else. catholic and muslim through history has gone to great pains to destroy anything historical from around the world that laid doubt on their personal beliefs. if these tablets in the middle east where found 100 years earlier then they where.. they would hae been destroyed and we would have no idea they had ever existed. makes you wonder how much has been lost

As I am from Türkiye, I literally camp in ancient compounds built by these lost civilizations like Sumerians, Hitities, Phonecians, Greeks etc in its natural setting. The most ancient one on earth found (up till now) is Göbeklitepe (~"Bellyhill") is 12000 years old. Truly amazing.. Sumerians, however, were are on another level. Egyptian pyramids were started a thousand years after the Sumerians ceased to exist so saying the Annunaki existed but didn't build the pyramids isn't wrong. Having pyramids in South America as well is a whole different matter.

Brilliant and knowledgeable.. Thank you. There is one thing to remember here. The gulf south of Iraq used to start much further down at Oman and as a result of the rising sea level it got flooded to start now in Basra. The area around the river from Basra to Oman was fertile and I suspect civilised too. So this is probably why the Sumerians say that people came from the water to teach them all their knowledge. That is why the people on the two sides of the gulf are similar to each other and speak the same language. If people on the Iranian side were migrants from Iraq, we would see a variation in ethnicity which doesn't show. This can also explain the mystery of the unknown origin of the Sumerian themselves. There is one type of fish called 'Subur', comes all the way from Pakistan to lay eggs in the marshes around Basra. They must have been doing this when the marshes were near Oman and followed the river as it moved up.
