How Mikey feels in this video, the reason why he’s having a depressive episode, is me every single day. I’m a workaholic who tries to be other people’s shoulder to cry on and therapist. I have an older brother who is exactly like Donnie, while I'm very similar to Mikey in many ways. Watching this hit close to home. He's done something very similar, cared for me very similarly, and spoke almost exactly all of the things that were said during a time where I was going through something very close to what Mikey was going through. Watching this, looking back at everything, I'm very grateful for my older brothers *and* for this video. HEY no fair making me cry when I'm dealing with this same crap

The first time I listened to this, I felt the emotions and loved it... A couple weeks later, after somehow forgetting about it, I had my first depressive episode. I hadn't felt anything like it before. I felt numb. Broken with no reason to feel that way. Alone. I couldn't get myself to do anything I loved to do. I struggled with eating. I couldn't feel anything but this dark sad feeling in my gut. In an attempt to get myself to feel or do anything, I scrolled through youtube, and stumbled on this skit again... I listened to it three times. Felt the emotions. The hurt, then the comfort. The support. I cried. I felt something. Then after I made myself eat something and got water. I had found what I was feeling, and not only that but I found comfort for it. Don't know how many times I've listened to this sense, but it never fails to hit home. Still trying to get out of this pit, but slowly and surly I am. I will. Thank you for that ❤. (srry for the long text but I wanted you to know how many feels this video gave me 🥺)

I heard plenty of advice to avoid this, and I’m constantly reviewing and updating my work-and-break schedule to help myself. Hearing this Audio Skit reminded me of my burnouts, which feel similar to depressive episodes. I appreciate works that deal with mental wellbeing whilst also giving food for thought about self-care.
