You actually don't need to separate them to have the turn signals work correctly. I don't like cutting or tapping into the factory harness. I used a Quadratec towing harness that I modified to have both four and five pin connectors. Both left and right turn signal wires are available at the left rear lamp. One five pin flat towing connector can be used for these hinge lights. Note that Suparee wired the lights so that the brake lights are dimmer than the park/tail light. This is backwards and is why you can't see the brake lights on the hinges when the headlights are on. Use the red wires for the brakes/turn signals and the green wires for the park/tail lights. To get the turn signals working correctly just split the red wires. Trailer harness pins are standardized so it isn't too difficult to figure out which wire is for left or right turn signal. I purchased a male and female five pin trailer connector set from autozone to use as the disconnect for removing the hard top. Get a pin cover for weather protection. I also used bullet connectors on the Quadratec harness so I could remove it without cutting any wires. It works pretty good.

If you don’t want to wire both sides and don’t care about blinkers, here’s another way to wire them. I really like these lights but I could not figure out how to keep them from blinking with the right blinker. After several combinations, I figured it out. Link the brake light and reverse light to the tail light wires and use the center brake light ground and hot (white with black stripe) found in the tailgate. This will give you running lights, reverse lights and brake lights. They will not flash with the blinkers, right or left.

Quick questions based on you posting your video a few months after Coddiwomple Overland. In Coddiwomple's video he mentioned there was no change in intensity in the Supree lights when the headlights were on and the brake depressed. In your video I noticed that you started the night-time demonstration sequence with the headlights off. Just wondered if, like Coddiwomple, your lights also don't change intensity when the headlights are on or if Supree upgraded their chips by the time you installed yours. Or in the alternative, have you or anyone figured out a wiring workaround? Thanks!
