Nova + Foamtips = Near Perfection Its smoothens out the treble and everything sounds smooth and it feels like "it has the shape that it should have". You may enjoy other signatures more, because of being more "exciting" or "boomy" depending on more bass or more treble, but for me that near perfection treble with nova foam is the best. Foam tips also take EM6L to its best versión. But foam tips only works this well with some iems. I'd say Nova and Em6l with foam tips are the best options out there for good audio quality, I wouldn't buy anything else for the time being... Also great video, keep it going ❤

Thank you for including the nozzle size in your review!! Nozzle size makes or breaks an IEM for me because of my narrow ear canals.

Nice review man. A quick tip on the squig measurements, I noticed you are not really matching the 8k peak between them, just think it makes it easier to compare measurements when the peak is all equal between them. Really like the comparisons and notes. BTW First reviewer Preference curve I see with a significant treble dip, is it based on a specific IEM? Keep it up.

great review, especially considering the nova isn't out yet. i do think if you tried to do a cam setup further away with some zoom it would autofocus a bit better, i had some trouble looking at the nozzles when you were holding the drivers up

Sure, they are Divinius ear tips. You can get them on Hifigo. Not sure if they are special, but they work for me and are cozy.

Thanks. For the nozzle measurements, did you measure the flange, or the nozzle below the flange? I have the Monarch Mk 1 which is 5.35mm below, and 6.3m on the flange. I find them too large for long term comfort.

I think I measured the nozzle. I could have been more precise. There is a sheet around of the nozzle measurements. I think the nova is pretty cozy.

I will buy it, just as a stand in for my variations for outdoor use. But i wish the nova had the textured resin feel like the variations. I'm not a fan of glossy plastic because it feels oily.

The Simgot em10 is pretty great. But it just depends on a lot of factors.

Both are good. I'm waiting on some studio equipment (new audio interface and Macro lens), and the price then I'll be filming that one next. But it's hard to evaluate it without knowing the price. Suffice it to say, I fully enjoy it and recommend it to others. I think Chopin is a bit better, especially for those that find full-sized iems uncomfortable.

I think the tone and timbre is better in Nova. For me it fits better as well.

Details about equal or is it say a 10/30/50% decrease? How's the passive isolation? I find the arias have almost none when compared to my unique meody mests. These look deep insert which is promising since I need decent isolation.

@@josephw7950 I think the passive isolation is perfect. It is really good. It's a nice fitting iem, very enjoyable.

@@josephw7950 I think the Blessing 3 has a slight edge in details. Detail retrieval isn't bad in the Nova, it's just not as good as others for sure.

I think the Heyday is a bit more normal. I personally didn't like it much. I'd recommend to try both and see what is best before you buy. I can see people liking the Heyday more.

The Gizaudio Chopin seems like the competition for the Truthear Nova. The Nova has more sub-bass ( below 40 Hz ), where the Chopin has more bass from 40- 160 Hz.

Do you have the KZ Castor Silver (standard Harman)? The UUDD switch config is said to match ~89% of the Nova's sound signature using 2 coaxial DDs for 8-9usd.

Those are pretty sets! I’m just waiting for my hexa delivery i didnt saw the nova when i bought it. But seeing the price of the nova i might just get it later if im nit satisfied with the hexa. Currently using aria btw

I really like the hexa. I feel the nova is a bit better, but the hexa is a very solid set.

Very soon. Some guy on Reddit complained I need to trim my nails and get a better lense. So off to the Salon and macro camera incoming! Chopping doesn’t have a price yet but I find it ever so slightly stronger. 😂❤

I’ve only demo’ed the Kato but I think the nova is very strong for its price and night be a better option. Always demo first if you can.

Currently, I am using QKZ X HBB($20) as my daily driver. Been saving for quite a while for Nova. Will it be a significant upgrade over QKZ HBB?

My current recommendation might be to try the Simgot em6l. I’ll have a ranking list revision up soon. It’s close to being ready. Simgot is also cheaper!

Planning to get celest phoenix call but this came. Do you think they are comparable?

Depends on what you want. Phoenix call is more technical, but Nova is more v-shaped. Both have advantages. I think Phonixcall for comfort and if you eq, nova if you don't eq.

I think it depends on what you need. Phoenix call is pretty good. Just had some mid range wonkiness but it’s not bad. Overall engagement is fantastic and fun.

How's the bass of hola in comparison whit zero red? I don't have hola while I love the bass of the zero red

Bass of the Hola is really nice. I think red sounds better but maybe not 35 dollars better. It really depends on your budget and ear size.

I think it’s a little easier. Slightly smaller nozzle and shell.

Cool review! The Hexa to me isn’t great in resolution, it is very balanced in frequency response. The Hexa feels satisfying until compared to an iem with better resolution. So wondering how the Hexa resolution compares to the Nova? Thanks 🙏 My Hexa has a rather cheap appearance, which is fine for the price and sound quality which is good.

Totally agree! I think it depends. Chasing resolution is extremely expensive in iems. What doesn’t the hexa do that you wish it did?

I think the hexa has really good resolution. I think it's better. Nova is ok, enjoyable but not great resolution or detail like the hexa.

Better shell, different tuning, better cable and better case included. New tips as well. I like it, but the hexa is still very special especially at 62 or whatever it is on sale.

I think the cheaper Simgot ea500lm might be the way to go. I think the Simgot em6l is pretty good, and a better value than the Nova.

Do you find the Hexa lacking base? Then yes. Hexa is still a solid iem, this won't be a straight upgrade for all.
