Interesting video, never actually know how candles worked prior. Also you may want to look into getting some new shelves because i dont think you will be able to safely fit a candle there.

That is a very fair point, perhaps a tealight is in order?

@@TMW_Photography a tea light is a good idea, safer, smaller and you can always save the tin for later use.

So what about the brightness of the yellow portion of the flame? Does it help to have more incombustible crud, such as clay or metal powder, in the wick to brighten the flame?
