AnimeLover Girl I KNOW! I think it's not on the same level as Beauty and the Beast, but it's def a really fun and charming film, with some witty lyrics and dialogue. And def one of my fav animated films! I loved it as a kid and I still do to this day!

+Disneyfan5150 Well the Swan Princess wasn't Disney but Mark Elliot who is the narrator normally used to do Disney movie previews.

Manuel Orozco Odette was almost a Disney Princess before Richard Rich sold her to Columbia Pictures.

It’s funny how John Cleese played a frog in this movie and 10 years later, King Harold, John Cleese’s character in Shrek 2, was revealed to be a frog

The Swan Princess isn't one of my favorite movies as a kid but I can't resist the beauty of it. The movie should be adapted into a Broadway show someday! I miss Mark Elliot narrating trailers Disney or Non Disney (like this one of course)

You know what I think? Well, I think as children, Derek and Odette may have started out as two almost complete opposites on the outside, but inside they were the best of friends with at least a few important things in common, and got to know and like each other better as they grew up.

I think this movie was originally pitched to Disney, but they decided to pass on it. Almost every fairy tale ever known has been made into a Disney movie. PLEASE DO NO REPLY TO THIS COMMENT. THE THREAD IS CLOSED.

AnimationDiana yes this was directed by a former Disney director and this was gonna be released as a Disney princess movie but then the movie was passed on but the director of this Richard Rich decided to finish’s it so he did and made it his own movie so it never got released as a Disney movie
