Interesting how you have built your turn outs. Just another day in the life of a rail road baron. Rail on!

Hi, I love your work on the railroad. I highly recommend you have some new trucks to put on your chicken poop containers along with some couplings so you don't have to worry about pinching your fingers or the containers falling off the flat cars and you can get more chicken poop in the cars and the cars would look better in my opinion. I think having a half load is a waste of space in the cars. I also would highly recommend getting or making an 8 wheeled engine for the 8 wheeled cars and 4 wheeled cars for the 4 wheeled engines. I would also recommend making some longer sidings with enough space for 4 cars so you don't have to make as many trips. I also think you would get things done faster and I think it would be more efficient to have 2 sidings on each end of the mainline. The ride would be smoother if the short rails are replaced with longer rails and you would have fewer derailments and fewer broken ties to replace. I am not trying to tell you what to do. I am just making recommendations. I almost forgot to recommend making the black and yellow stripes like on 1206 in UNSTOPPABLE with Chris Pine and Denzel Washington on the front of the 70 and the 71 and any other engine you might get or make. Hi, I am back to recommend making the H10-44 for your railroad and making a box for the bottom of the 70 and the 71 for fake fuel tanks and to cover the power system on the bottom and protect them from the weather and make slots in the ends of the boxes for the chains. I would also like to recommend putting a sound system in your engines so we could have more of a variety of sounds. I think the best horns are the K5LA like the AMTRAK horns. I also think the best headlights for trains are the ones that are vertical instead of horizontal. I just don't really think horizontal headlights are even close to looking as good, no offense. I also highly recommend making a new pilot for the front of the engines with the same shape as the N&W 611 skirt. Many people call the skirt a pilot. It will make it easier to plow the sticks and snow from the tracks. You could even make it so you could plow the snow without the extra parts. The plow would be a permanent part of the engines. You could also have 1 on each end then it wouldn't have to struggle to push the snow and the separate plow every single time. It would only have to plow the light snow to the sides. I am just trying to make it easier for you. Cory Mears

There's a lot of money in what you're suggesting. An H-10-44 would be interesting, but I'm not a big Fairbanks-Morse fan. Baldwins, ALCOs, and early GE's are more my thing. That's why the horizontal headlights and no ditch lights on my locomotives. It's a GE industrial locomotive thing. Covers between the trucks get in the way of motor ventilation and get wrecked in derailments. They also make the locomotives more expensive. I may experiment with a sound system as a product development thing in the future. I build these little engines for people other than myself. My personal preference, however, is not to pretend these are anything other than battery electric locomotives. The only sounds I actually want for myself are a horn and a bell. I would be glad to build you a locomotive with all the features you want, but I don't think you'd like the price, either. Everything here is hand built, one at a time, and nothing is mass produced. At least not yet, anyway. It is fun to dream and speculate, though, so keep making suggestions, and maybe there'll be one that I like and have the means to do.

@@MillBrookRailroad Hi, I read the message and I didn't know that the engines in real life were that way, and I was just talking about the horn and the bell too. I'm not looking to buy any. I was just making recommendations for your railroad. I am a very very big fan of the H10-44. They are my absolute favorite switchers. I own a wooden train layout that is used for delivering heavy freight and passenger train cars. When the trains are loaded with rocks or coal or any other super heavy freight I call it hauling instead of pulling because I think the word pulling sounds too weak and hauling sounds strong. My engines are called BRENT, HANNAH, JASON, REBECCA, ARRY, MONTY, CARL, MOLLY, DOMINIC, ALICE, CHRIS, FRANK, STEVEN, HARVEY, SHAWN, LOGAN, HANK, WAYNE, DAN, DARCY, and CONNOR.

I have been hoping you would make a video of your switches great!!! video thank you. Me and my son are fan's of your mill brook R,R. We Especially like your maintenance videos working on track and switches. My eight-year-old son recently made a set of switch points for a future expansion of our Railroad and we Hope to get an update on your extension and what type of bridge you are planning to build through the swamp area?

Thanks for following! Good on your son for building a switch. When you own a railroad, it is required that you become the track foreman. He's got a good start on that at eight. I'm not sure what I'll build for a bridge across the swamp. I'm leaning toward building a single span double web Town Lattice Truss with 50 inch wide clearance.

Excellent tutorial with good long zoom in that give us time to make pause and watch closely with all explanations on Who makes parts. Hard to see the differences betwen culp rails and 1" scale. Your combination of rail sizes with what was cheaply available seems to have worked well. More video of that type are welcome. Long gone mileposts where at wich distance ? Your remote control from Amazon, can you be more precise ? (PS: i just find your rc install video of march 2021 after watching this one).I´m more ignorant about electrical and electronics devices than your cat or chickens...also if you can put more infos in your description. Be safe, be safe with Delta and Omicron.

Thanks for the information on your track. How is your engine power. I see you with remote control in your hand when running the train. I am wondering what powers the engine. Is it gas power with remote control or electric battery power. Have a great day be safe.

Short question: The forest in the background i can see in this video is that your property too? If yes: Wouldn't it be a nice project to build a track wich slopes down slowly through the woods on to that lower level i can make out in the background (2min 0sec in the video) and run a track there? It would be a big project but a cool one.
