If I understand what you mean correctly, I think I can explain it: You step with your fore leg to add momentum to the strike thanks to hip work - all cuts work much better if you add power from twisting or moving your hips. Then is the step of the rear leg for the balance. Thanks to it's position you are able to move again and you are not prone to lose balance. I hope that explains it :-) Best wishes!

Looks like there was a heat wave in Maryland. Either that, or these clips were from a little while ago. ;-) .. Good stuff you guys!

Very nice demonstration. So far I have done only longsword and most of these pieces look exactly like in liechtenauers longsword! Is I.33 also similar to this?
@BS-bd5uq7 жыл бұрын
I believe i.33 is very different from this system

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zs2Ud6V1u9ndYac.html Warzecha and Berthold are explaining it pretty well. But to make it short: 1-33 is based on the presence of the bucker as part of the whole combat system, it comes from a time when the combat working moves more and more from the shield to the sword. Liegnitzer is at least a century later and technically based on longswordfencing but using a one handed sword and having a buckler.
