This video is based on the book, Demian, by Herman Hesse and is basically about temptation and accepting both the “good” and “bad” within yourself. The book is heavily influenced by the Swis psychiatrist, Carl Jung. Also, taken directly from the book, is the scene where Suga plays the organ just as Pistorius does. Many of the scenes take place within paintings. Other than The Fall of the Rebel Angels, there is also The Fall of Icarus that’s important. The “angel” at the end is likely the god, Abraxas. There’s also a famous quote from Neitzsche above the mirror that translates to “One must have chaos within oneself to birth a dancing star”. Loving your reactions and you definitely caught more than 90% of first time reactors do. I’m impressed!

This was the second BTS mv I ever saw [and the second song I heard] . My immediate reaction was “I need to watch all their music videos”. Which I then proceeded to do, immediately after watching this one. This, spring day, I need you, not today, totally blew my mind, I had expected a vapid boy band, I got way, way more than that. The more I watched the more impressed I became. I woke up that morning having never heard of BTS, by the end of the day, I had bought three of their albums on iTunes.

They built the set. It was not in a real museum. You may watch the behind the scene "Blood Sweat Tear MV Shooting Scene" You were right, it was about duality. IMO, the song is about how they were experiencing a new phase in their life growth: struggling, dealing, and exploring their inner-outer temptations. That is why the MV is about duality. Including how it was portrayed as black-white vs. colors, tied hands, seduction vs innocance, etc.

BTS have some really powerful and deep songs. Like “I need you”, “ run” , save me” fragility of youth and life), “ spring day(about loss and suffering) “ugh!”(about how anger is actually useful for the world) ,”whalien 52”( about the lonely whale that's roaming the seas) bapsae”, “ spine breaker”, ( modern economics and how they effect the youth) “Dyonysus”( Greek gods are used to describe their love for work and such) like 85% of BTS songs have a deeper meaning.its crazy And yeah they made the whole set. To this day BS&T is one of the best mvs I've ever seen.

"Blood Sweat & Tears" MV is well known to use in art history / Aesthetic studies class as well. All the painting and sculpture have intentions and able to interpret in various way. There are several art related review for this MV on youtube. I strongly recommend you to check their 2019 MMA performance of "Dionysus" about 20 min length. This is another storytelling visuals about Greek mythology by BTS. Their performance fills the intellectual pleasure.

The green drink is supposed to be absinthe represented in Edgar degas french painting L'absinthe which is supposed to be hallucinogenic. There's a lot of art references and french references in this video judging from their style. The story itself is from the book demian.

What I've heard about this MV: First of all, it’s based off the book Demian by Herman Hesse, where they talk about the temptation of good and evil as said in the video. Tae was an Angel/demon and his wings were taken away from him because he was against the heaven. Jungkook was close to fall in the temptation of V, Namjoon had already fallen. On the other hand, Yoongi saw the intention and darkness of V and that's why he's trying to save Jimin of the temptation. V wants to tempted all of them except for Jin. Hobi was the only one that didn't feel tempted in any moment, that's why try to stop V with the arrow. Jin feels powerless because he can't do anything to help the others. Then V makes some kind of pact with Jin, if Jin fall in the temptation and kiss the statue V will leave the others free. Jin accept the deal. That's why we saw Jin broken at the end, because he's carrying the pain that belong to all the other members...

This was the second BTS mv I watched, back in 2017 when I found them, and it was the reason I got actually interested in them, then I went on a two week long BTS video spam, I watched literally anything and everything I could find, and then bbma voting season started on twitter so I got a new twitter account for BTS and the rest is history 😂 this song is still my ringtone

When this came out in 2016, we were amazed, and I don't think we've gotten over it yet. It's still my all time favorite MV. We had just finished watching all the Wings short films, and knew it was going to be something special, and were still amazed.

I'm back. I was thinking about something you said. Is BTS artistic? The Answer is: YES, in most every art form you can think of. As fans we get to be involved in their journey. They take us on their travels with them to Art Galleries around the world. This year after their concert at So Fi stadium, RM traveled the U.S. visiting Art Galleries. In 2020 BTS sponsored 22 art installations throughout the world in the coming months as part of a “global project” called Connect BTS project. BTS do this TV show called IN THE SOOP, it's a reality tv show, where in season 1 we watched them paint on canvas. You will be shocked when you see their skills with a paint brush. During that season we also got to watch Suga's process to write the theme song for the show and then as viewers we got to see their recording session from beginning to end. Yes, they are artistic, in every sense of the word.

BST is a part of the Bangtan Universe which is a fictional storyline that runs through their MVs. Fake Love is also a part of the BU, so they are definitely connected. A tip: the green drink, is Absent, 'the green faery' A drink with an extreme amount of alcohol, almost toxic and very adictive. It was the drug of the Renaissance, because its bitter taste they serving it on a lump of sugar, as seen in the video. It’s a drink that still exists, and it’s taken the same way.

Oh Hi, so here's my comment for this video, and it's for everyone, so I noticed a lot of people don't pick up what Namjoon is drinking. He's drinking the Alcohol "Absinthe". You might have heard about it, but didn't know what it looked like. But anyway you can't (or I guess you could but you might die) drink it straight. It similar to moonshine in that it has a VERY high alcohol content. So the common way to drink it is to dilute it through a sugar cube. I wonder if RM actually got to try it or if they switched it out with like green juice. I think it would be cool if he got to try it. It's just one of those experiences you know? It's banned in a lot of places just like moonshine, so it would be cool if he got the chance. Edit: "That's some moisturizer" You know that kinda humor is very V of you 😂
