The study was undertaken by Emilie Tverå under the supervision of Associate Professor in Food Chemistry, Ashkan Madadlou.

I used Glycerol and Urea at a molar ratio of 1:1 at 80°C for 3 hours (according to literature) but the mixture is not yet liquid. The mixture becomes very viscous at room temperature and urea particles are identifiable

I have had the same problem with different mixtures I have made. The only way is to add a known percentage of water.
