you have to put cover wing for the RCM btw there's no such thing as a perfect tactic, all can be countered. Sometimes you have to improvise on the run like if you see your opponent hugging the left flank you just call your attacker ( from the right side ) back on defence. it's a good thing to analyze after the game as to why you've conceded and how... you gotta learn from every mistake otherwise you won't improve

you could try flippin the tactics, like make ur RB overlap and your LB stay back, which would mean you'd have your right side attacker on Come back on defense ( instructions )

I’m not sure if I’ve worked it out, could be chatting shit but I think u need ur players to be in the position that they say they are meaning I’ve got Pirlo as a CAM and he’s the wrong midfielder which is doing the glitch like u said as I want him to stay in the middle. So I changed him into a CM and tonali who’s playing CDM into a CM and it fixed and pushed out tonali keeping pirlo in the middle where I want him while I defend. Dunno if this is understandble it’s confusing to explain. But just change the players positions to fit

I tried the 4321 on old gen with exact the same tactics (except the direct passing, just 3 times balanced) and I won an online draft in 25 minutes. It creates so many options against those rat players

Apply a pressing element in your custom tactics and use a higher depth.

What u should really do is practice switching players with right stick instead of L1/LB and also use second man press (R1) considerately as well as offside trap. That is the best why to enable a natural press to give the opponent awkward scenarios throughout the game.
