Known as one of the most dominant basketball players in history, Moses Eugene Malone Sr.'s impact on the game goes far beyond his impressive stats and accolades. But this one time, something so tragic happened, that it forcefully took his life away! Let's take a look at the life and times of the basketball legend.
Moses Malone was an American professional basketball player who played in both the American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association from 1974 through 1995.
A center known for his tenacity, rebounding prowess, and work ethic, Malone was a three-time NBA MVP and a 12-time NBA All-Star. His relentless playing style and leadership on the court earned him a spot in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. Malone led the Philadelphia 76 to an NBA championship in 1983, winning both the league and Finals MVP.
Born in Petersburg, Virginia. He was an only child, raised primarily by his mother, Mary, who had dropped out of school after finishing the fifth grade.Moses was a quiet child, with a clear focus rarely found in someone so young. His natural ability could be seen from the moment he picked up a basketball, but it was his work ethic and diligence that proved to be his greatest assets.

I saw Moses play in the ABA. His mother would be sitting alone in a nice fur coat at the Norfolk Scope. The Virginia Squires played about an hour away from her home in Petersburg.

Good video! I would like to point out that Moses played in 2 NAB Finals, winning only one! The way it was narrated it made it sound like he won 2 NBA championships.

Malone was the hardest working man in the NBA. Just watching him work on the court made me tired. I always notice that Malone seemed to fight for his breathe but kept on battling.

Video wasn’t well produced but otherwise, Moses Malone was criminally underrated as a player. He doesn’t get the recognition he deserves! My cousin, Morris Fultz was his teammate on Petersburg’s High Crimson Wave, when they won those back to back state championships. “Big Mo”…R.I.P. 🙏🏾🕊️

I don't doubt your sincerity in mentioning your points about Mr. Malone, but your timeline is way off considering the footage your showing us. Your talking about his ABA days, but not showing practically any ABA footage, but mostly NBA. Your talking about his past and early years in the leagues, but while you do, your footage isn't matching up with the verbal timeline I think we'd all like to see. 🤔 Just an observation. Your info is interesting, no doubt, just wish there was more cohesiveness with your footage and the info your providing ....🫡
