The girls from Tamana Girls High School (玉名女子高校学校 Tamana joshi kōkōgakkō) is a girls high school in Tamana, Kumamoto, Japan. They love Glenn Miller's music and always put on an outstanding performance. This is the second set of their performance at the 2014 Glenn Miller Festival. The opening number is a tribute to Dwight Sump, who passed away earlier this year while working at the Glenn Miller Museum in Clarinda. He will be greatly missed by all.

何度聞いても素晴らしい。高校生の演奏としては最高でしょう。音色もリズムもソロ演奏も文句のつけようがない。高校生の吹奏楽動画ではＮＯ１と言えます。玉名女子高校吹奏楽部の動画をもっと出して頂きたいと思います。

★TAMANA・・申し訳ありませんが、初めて聴きました。何と言っても「MOONLIGHT SERENADE」のクラリネットのサビのSOLOが最高に印象的でした。基本に忠実で優しく心を込めて、素晴しいソロです！　★勿論、他の全ての曲も楽しく聴かせて頂きました。ありがとうございました！

These kids may my heart smile every time I watch this video! The saxophone solo on the Carpenters song is beautiful music! Their director is outstanding!!!! I know this is from back in 2014, but they were so talented. Hope they all are having wonderful lives!

毎年全員が素晴らしい音色とスキルを見せつけられるのですが、この年のムーンライトセレナーデは一番雰囲気が出てますね。サックスパートの子が、意識して細かく強めにビブラートをかけていたのでしょうね。素晴らしい演奏です。

The Musical abilities of this High School Band is second to none. Their Director seems like a very personable gentleman, and the girls respond to his direction perfectly. No wonder why they do so well in Japan competition! I really enjoy watching this and other videos of this band's visits to the USA.
