The Tape Trick For Cartridges & Pen Tattoo Machines

Күн бұрынSome times the simplest things can add a lot of value. In this video I'll show you a quick tape trick for cartridge and pen style tattoo machines that can help you a lot.
Notice that in this video I used masking tape because it's what I had in hand at the studio but you should use thick medical tape or cover your fixture with film like saran wrap to keep you setup sterile.

I just rip the lids off the trays that the cartridges come in and write the size/shape bigger in marker on the lip. That way any ink drips stay in their individual trays. Disposable, single-use, and reusing the sterilized packaging it came in. Or, I use stainless steel ink cup holders that have an upper row of smaller size holes and I stand the cartridges in those holes, needle side down, like a pen stand.

My trick for placing carts is: small plastic glass of distilled water. Cover it with tape. cut holes on tape. place the carts touching the water.

For the price of cartridges the company should just mark the needle configuration on each cartridge--

Surgical tape isn't a good barrier at all though, as it's made of porous material in order to let the skin breathe.
