A Triumph! It’s awesome to see each chef pushed well outside their comfort zone all to deliver the best that they can deliver. That is where you find what you’re made of. I was deeply moved and impressed by what they accomplished. Stunning heads up bang on food of the highest caliber. The emotional reflection of the high tension environment was palpable. Marianne in particular exuded such emotion and I could feel it in me as well. What a lovely treasure she is. Cheers all around!!! Well done indeed.

It was fantastic how they all supported each other getting the dishes out. In so many cooking shows (no names but you know what I mean - particularly in the USA) the contestants would rather sabotage their cohorts rather than help them. It is many years since this show was recorded and it would be great to know whether these three superstars stayed in contact through their careers, though I know its unlikely given life's pressures. My own favorite for the final is Steve - but if either of the other two won based on a fair assessment from the judges - I would not call foul. After the final episode I will track the career paths of everyone and I'm sure they will be stellar.

Yes! The co-op vs the USA was something that also came to my mind today. This is the reason I prefer the British shows. Having said that, the British show offers career progression. The US show offers a very large monetary prize. I expect greed gets the better of some people.

WOW! That was such a nail biting episode to watch let alone to be in each finalists shoes! My eyes filled with tears of wonderment as each chef in turn presented their dishes. It's hard to remember these mere mortals haven't attained the brilliance of those tasting their food. Can't wait until the winner is announced. Though in my eyes each of the finalists has learned so much from their journey to this point it's going to be a fabulous finale. Hats off to each of you 🤗🤤🍾✨

I keep thinking it's not exactly fair to let them prep these dishes with 438942892 elements without a sous chef? At least someone who can do the basic prep. Lets face it - no chef will have to prep such a meal in such quantities alone. I feel they're pushing the limits of what's possible for a single person to do and setting them up for a fail...

Yeah and they've had no rehearsal either. No Michelin star chef would EVER not try out their recipes without trialling them a number of times. Michelin chefs would fail as much as these guys in these same circumstances.

Steve has said that he did MC to make due contact with Michel Roux Jr. Then he cooks Michel's dish for the British cooking elite.. - and he smashes it! What a fantastic talent with balls of steel. Ps. And Steve's dream became reality: he was hired by the Roux after the show :)

The Roux years were the best. The show lost something after Michel Jr left. Marcus Wareing is a great chef, but just doesn't have that legendary legacy.

Watching this show makes me realize just how amazing my local bakery is. His stuff is perfection. His chocolate mousse is silky smooth. His choclate ganach tart can be served to Michelle Roux Jr. His brioch is soft and fluffy. His puff pastry is a cut above anyone else in town or the surrounding 100kms. Everything has the right amount of sugar, aka not too sweet. His savoury foods are perfectly cooked, I didn't know pork tenderloin could be that tender, and seasoned. And the flavours!!! Everything is made from scratch and it's all affordable to everyone. My only complaint is the bakery isn't within walking distance from my house. I am blessed to have this man open a bakery in my little city.

I don't understand why, if the dishes take so long to make, they don't start earlier. Just start earlier and avoid all that pressure. Or will the competition not work without it?

I think they should be able to make stock and maybe break down ducks and filet fish and such earlier since in a working kitchen those most likely would be pre-done. Fresh fresh cooked should then be prepared as if made to order.

I see many instances where Michel has been more of a coach and offered suggestions rather than bullying. I’ve not seen him yelling and cursing at the competitors, he’s mostly encouraging. This is a competition where they’re being tasked above what they would have to do in a usual kitchen, sometimes the little shove took them to success. Michel’s name is on the line on this Michelin star service too, and each of those guests knew what went into the prep and service. And yes, he should hover to remind them of timing needed etc. All in all it was a success, and in my view, Michel helped to make that happen.
