i had like a 28 year old form teacher she’s left this year and she just had this one girl tell her EVERYTHING that happened like fights and things like that i’m not complaining i sat on her table so i just got to learn everything

This is strategic. It’s how you find out what is really going on at home, who is being abused by a boyfriend and shut the fights down first and…worst of all…stop potential shootings. I’ve found two kids with guns because kids talk to me (I don’t think either were going to use it…they wanted to show out…but still).

@@jazzycat8917 I know that knives in Scottish schools are pretty common. I've survived so far without having someone pull one on me yet tho. I've been threatened by someone saying they have a knife but I've not actually seen it happen, I've only seen the aftermath of a knife fight. Only got a couple more years to survive and then I'm free

I had a teacher like this last year and all my friends told her EVERYTHING and she j knew everything and I had a boyfriend and she somehow knew abt it so she told my mom at a parent teacher conference. A year later I’m still with the the same guy lol.😭 the point of this story is don’t trust “the cool teacher” or “gossip teachers”

My seventh grade ELA teacher loved finding out gossip and wouldn’t say anything (as long as it wasn’t hurtful like a fight, then of course it’s her duty). She was also a very sarcastic teacher and overall pretty chill. A lot of us likes her, but of course, a lot also didn’t like her.

Wait where was this? I'm in the UK and pretty sure that's a breach of confidentiality. I had a friend who was of a different race to her boyfriend and one of the teachers was close friends with the boy friends dad. Well anyway he wanted to let the father know and it would've started shit for the boyfriend so the school had to intervene and say he was not allowed to say anything at all. Trust me he really wanted to but he'd been there since my parents were ay school and he's a dreadfully lazy teacher so if he got fired idk of he'd find another job where he could do nothing all day and just act like he's working.

My year 11 English teacher let my now ex move next to me when I joined the class because she liked us both. Those English lessons were great because she'd always know some gossip because her daughter was in our year. And she was a very good teacher.

This is so real. I have a friend who’s mum is a teacher I remember specifically on transfer day, we (my friend group) all went running up to her asking “oh, who’s this?” And “who’s that teacher?” And she was so nice and was the biggest help ever. And she still is!

Bunch of my friends said I should've worked as a supply/backup teacher a few yrs ago. If I were a teacher n was entrusted this kinda gossip: short of exceptionally negatively consequential stuff, I wouldn't speak a word. I've found talking w evryn w whom I do, on my own terms, equitably; very rewarding. For many reasons, but in summation: it helps evryn involved solve their probs better --> lead better lives.

I had a teacher like that when I was in school. Kids used to adore her. Now I look back at it and I'm floored by how weird she was. Like, why are teachers so in everyone's business? Why are they either trying to pose as kids' friends from a position of power or they're outright horrible

@@sorcellerie because children and teens actually do need a lot of support and supervision. They shouldn’t be left on their own with peers in large groups until they are mature enough to handle it. Their frontal lobes are not fully developed until early adulthood and issues like bullying and violence are very serious and children and teens should not have to deal with these issues on their own.

@@sorcellerie if they have bad motives, it could be dangerous. If that's the case, they shouldn't be teaching at all. But it helps when you like the teacher. I learned that most when I liked the teacher. I mean, if the teacher is a p.do or something, then the kids are not going yo be safe whether or not they try to relate to the kids in this way.

we had a teacher like this, and she was a freaking vault. my friends used to eat lunch with her, and used to tell her the gossip. one day, i joined the lunch group, and the girls left (something about returning one of their ex’s sweatshirts) and i asked her why they left. wouldn’t tell me a thing until i told her that i already knew that they had broken up.

we go to calwood in 5th grade, and our teacher that stayed with us in our cabin was really sweet, she was our la teacher that was so funny lol. she heard all our drama in it and figured out some were dating, don’t even ask idk why they date that young. but she found out our enemies, everything don’t know it’s it’s a positive or negative?

Oh yea there are 2 types the good and bad and I had a teacher in training who would shadow my real teacher and maybe do a class or 2 and when my original teacher would leave we would go over there and start talking as is she was the same age as us and she was only in early 20s so she was super pretty too but sadly we'll never see her again cuz she has another year of shadowing and by the time she is actually teaching well, be in different places but she was the best and every one knows it

My drama teacher (on Maternity for my entire last f*cking year) was also my partner’s drama teacher and we were reeeeaally close friends. Like physically. Anyway Miss came over to me in a theory lesson one time like “are you and •blank• dating.” “No?” “Huh. Going to?” “No??” “Alright.” And gave me _that_ look. Y’know the “are you sure” look teachers give when they’re trying to tell you your answer is wrong without telling you.
