honestly this is how allot of the industry is, and i was gonna go into carpentry but something seemed a bit off when the guy i was working for had me bring a 300 pound wheel barrow up a 12 foot long 2 by 10 that flexed a foot and a half in the middle as i went up, given it was 4 feet up but still i didnt feel like it was safe. was told to leave cuz i was slacking and that pushed me away from carpentry all together.

and yet this video has 10+ million views and has generated approx 250K in ad revenue for the creator.
@dogzebra2708 Жыл бұрын
@@PH_INFO_101 And your point? Ancient Babylonians didn't have YT but they were the originators the water screw. An invention that had been in use for few thousand years before this "creator" was born or there were dollar's. The only thing this "YT creator" could claim credit for is making ,video. On someone else's platform/programming ,on cameras using sound equipment that someone else invented and developed. God bless him for figuring out a way to make a buck on another person's innovation. As,well for having sense enough to wait until the original manufacturer was a few thousands years dead before stepping on him work. That's the way to avoiding the law suits and trademark cases. But that doesn't nullify the facts that this item was in uses for thousands of years; before there was YT for the "creator" to make a video about it without giving credit to the inventor.
@PH_INFO_101 Жыл бұрын
@@dogzebra2708 I think you may have missed my point. I was actually giving praise to the YT Creator for being able to generate the massive views and revenue by re-packaging something that has been around for years.

I've never seen anyone ever staple shingles to a roof before, wow, incredible
@bgdesignandsolutions2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was fast, but it was done incorrectly. Too many nails and not spaced per manufacturer design.
@Blood_Boltz2 жыл бұрын
He did ok. All his nails are under the ice and water shield. Which is rubber with an adhesive. Then he puts a shingle on top of that. Ice and water sheild is made to seal around any nails that are driven through it. Also he didnt leave any exposed nails at the bottom. It wont leak. Although it couldve been done better. I wouldnt use a nail gun around a boot.
@kennethsnyder92362 жыл бұрын
Really? Putting shingles on a roof by hammer and nails is ten times more time consuming. Been there done that
@bgdesignandsolutions2 жыл бұрын
@@Blood_Boltz I use to do contracting. Most shingles have a 20 year warranty. In case of a failure, if the shingles are not nailed per mfg requirement, they will not warranty them. So if the roof fails, it comes back on the contractor and not the shingle mfg. Two of the most common reasons for failure are nails to close and driven too deep. A proper dept of a nail is making contact, but not pressing into it. If the shingle is split by the nail or around the nail head because it was to deep, it needs to be replaced, even if it's getting covered up. Adjusters look for these things when a warranty claim is made. and they do take them apart to find failures. Too many nails per shingle is an outright denial.
