I think it's a good idea for people reviewing balisongs to be more specific about momentum vs balance because you're right in that they affect the feeling of the balisong differently.

I agree with everything you said, except the design , personally I love the minimalist design , but I do understand how that cuts out for some other people ❤️

im all for this controversial take, and i actually like the clean look, and tbf to him, knives didnt really have cutouts along the back of the handles till "relatively recently" so the newer ones having jimping is great and there are balis that still dont have jimping to this day. like personally some balis just look way too busy and the telestro is a nice change of pace in that sense that simplicity, especially if you cant make busy look good is king. is it a bit overpriced thats for people to decide what they wanna do with their money but i know im gonna get one anyways at some point because i just spam buy knives.

That thumbnail is sexy bruhhh. But im a huge sucker for British racing green and tanto tips. But tbh I saw this knife before the Medusa and got the same vibes from both(this was before taking in to account/knowing the pricing of either). Btw if you want to know what blade bias is try out a stock Heibel Menace trainer. It can be upgraded to flip fine but stock is almost unflipable.

Balileaks here. THANK YOU FORCTHIS VIDEO. Are they made by manual lay or is it cnc machined and or they hand made fully by files or metal grinder. And also does he make all the parts like the hardware and washers and bushings. And what grade of Titanium it is and blade steel. Wow this is a eye opener.

I think the appeal of a more minimalistic design might just be somewhat lost on you :P Which is fine, that's your preference, of course. I do agree that the Telesto is probably pretty overpriced at $900. That's a very steep price for a knife that is really more of an analog to the Medusa/Opus/Serif which are all significantly cheaper. Hell, even the Tsunami, which gets flack for being overpriced, is still significantly cheaper. But personally I love the design. Super minimalist designs like the Telesto are exceedingly rare among higher-end titanium knives. Something about the simple, untextured handles + the sleek "default" (and long) tanto just looks so clean and unique to me, among all of the busier designs that we generally see in the higher end market. Honestly, it's one of my favorite knives aesthetically because I'm just a big sucker for clean/minimalist designs. But it is definitely too expensive :/

@@tellemimdoinbeetswa aesthetically, the tsunami is my favorite bali that currently exists. į have by no means flipped all of the balis we have available to us, that said it is my favorite to flip thats in my collection {and of what ive flipped so far that is not in my collection}....its. so. fucking. well made. the machining is a work of art, mine is flawless. the design is just nuts, and that fact is immediately known the instant ü pick up and flip one. tha 'nami is a superlative example of a knife that blends all of its aesthetics through its functionality, deliciously. į would argue in any moment for everything lucas put into designing & creating it, its worth every fucking cent. besides, they are a good couple hundred less than $1k. it's fair to say ü spend around $800 for a base live 'nami. the fully dressed tsunamis are hands down the sexiest knives ever made. period. the moment į get the opportunity to purchase a 'fully dressed' {timascus & damascus} 'nami....nothing is safe from being sold {if need be} to reach that $1700 & change price tag inside that magic moment. the talesto is no 'nami, and its kind of {inside the context} drastically more expensive than a tsunami. being ü are going to spend about $1k on a telesto. aesthetically į like the telesto a lot, sexy, simple, sleek....but the points that telestro makes in this video, are just blatantly fucking accurate.

Most actually say this about the telesto Def all in an opinion. Basic isn't bad if it works which it does lol. Sometimes simplicity is great. I get your point about price. It doesn't have as much machining involved etc.

You can ask for it unsharpened if you want lol, they normally come sharpened
