You've got to feel for the Na'kuhl in this arc. Both they, and the Lukari had time travel used against them in more or less the same scenario. Kal Dano used time travel to save the Lukari, but failed despite his efforts to save the Na'kuhl. The Lukari thrive, while the Na'Kuhl are scattered to the four winds. All they're asking is the chance to try again. And a clear precedent has been set. But they're being denied.

I know it science fiction, and only a interpretation of time travel. But this is a little hard to warp my head around. People from the past are aloud to witness an event from the future that a consequence of their use of time travel, and yet the future isn't change by this knowledge. Starfleet, the Federation, their Allies Don't try to institute any regulations after the first use of time travel, or the technology to do so isn't taken away by the future or at least regulated. Both the future and the past are strangely happening at the same time, but the future isn't forever changed but seems to be Destin to happen in this way? (Edit) And different era's also try to understand these future event by having a small presence. But those same events still happen despite their knowledge that can lead them to unknowingly and eventually changing the future, or at least it should.
@barrybend7189
@barrybend7189 4 ай бұрын
Ok. With the accords the event happens. But it's only when time travel became well known and used by all powers involved ( STO 25th century) that it and later eras could send representatives and the ceremony is "past dated" so it doesn't interfere with the timeline. So effectively everyone knows it will happen but not the events leading to it from past individuals.

I unfortunately realized another reason why events with the Tox Uhtat had to stay as they are. Without the Tholians screwing with their sun to act as bait for Kal Dano, Federation contact with the Lukari would have been delayed since the mission where you encounter them wouldn't happen. This is important because Lukari tech would be very important in the coming conflict with the Tzenkethi.

@@nathanielheilmann7351 I love the “well time travel did end the Iconian War” ummm? It CAUSED the Iconian War! If you hadn’t brought Sela back in time Romulus would never have been destroyed and the Iconian would not have started wiping out everyone else. Every time you attempt to correct time the genocidal destruction just gets worse.

My girlfriend says something similar to me most days actually. “It’s all your fault, it’s always your fault, it always will be your fault, and it’ll be your fault when can think of more stuff to blame you for”

Much as I like STO the idea of the Klingons and Romulans joining the Federation never quiteade sense to me. Always seemed counter to their depiction even in STO.

Romulan Republic would join the Federation as D'tan wants to heal the damage done from the sundering. And the Khitomer accords and relations with the Klingons do point to a lasting alliance to joining the Federation.

@@jonathanmirhige2880 The sense I got was less them joining the federation and more all three joining together into a new body/civilization.

After that is already could do the New Missions like the Dominion like the hur'q evasion and so like that because you never never did those in the discovery and other stuff I never did they always do the old missions return back over over again I really don't like that. I like the Dune like brand new missions

@@jasonskeans3327 Nah, Star Trek hasn't had any official new canon since Enterprise ended. Which is a shame that they've gone so long without expanding canon.
