Nothing says Easter like this opening! There will never be great pictures like this again. I was born in 1964 and grew up with this wonderful work of art full of unbelievable talent in front of and behind the camera. Every year my family and I would gather to watch this GREAT picture...as well as the King of Kings and Ben Hur. And even today in 2024 I will still pull it out of my library to watch it if it’s not being broadcasted. I found that the networks are removing such great movies including kids holiday cartoons for reasons likely as the new generation has gotten away from God and replaced it with all things evil. Surprisingly, a lesson that should be learned from this very movie, when Moses came down from the mountain. God Bless us all!

And it's Easter weekend again, and this movie once again will be on ABC, and I will watch every minute of it and love it as always.

It's too bad that one day, it will be illegal to broadcast this movie on network television. It will be a little season of persecution for the Bible-believing Christians. For rejoice our redemption draweth nigh!

Fun Fact: This was the last movie Cecil B. DeMille made before his retirement or his death.

Wow, there was nothing like watching a four-and-a-half-hour long movie on TV the night before Easter to let you know that the holiday had truly arrived. It would start at 6:00. You'd be panting right along with the slaves by 9:00, but you still had another 90 minutes to go. And that "Angel of Death" scene? Fuggetabottit. 😃

Commercial breaks should be banned during an airing of these epics.
