A nice couple of days at The Tent. Melissa is up and we catch some fish. Chunky and Joanie are with us. Awesome tent cooking. Crayfish traps. Driving the loop. Some much needed down time at the lake.

Joe I just love how active your dad and mom still are. I am 51 and have lost both my mom, 19 yrs now and dad 29 yrs now. I didn't have many years with them since I was born when she was 40 and he was 57, but have some hella memories!! Lol when you forget she remembers and vice versa but when you both forget y'all just shit outta luck, huh!!

I've always thought the tent really "shined" in the early morning hours. The mist off the lake, the beams of sunshine and stretched out shadows are super. Take care and thanks for sharing.

Yes! I sighed being thankful my eyes were beholding the beauty of my God's handy work. I am amazed each time we get a glimpse from the Tent with a wide angle view. The wintry scenes are off the chart as well. I never get to see any of that except through the eye of the screen. Awesome.

Doesn’t matter what time I go to bed my eyes open at 4am. Guess 35 years of waking up to work sticks with you. My dad’s up in heaven looking down on me and laughing. When I was a teenager 50 years ago he couldn’t get me out of bed in the morning.

Watching you guys at the Tent really has me excited for Pennsylvania hunting. I have a small camp in northern Pa. in Potter County and we spend as much time as we can for hunting and to just get away from the rat race. I love the way you have things organized and its nice to have a wife who likes the outdoors. The puppies seem to like it up there. Ever since I started watching you, I now eat pork steaks, I use Johnnys Hunters Blend, I use charcoal more often, and buy lighter fluid. LOL. Looking forward to the hunting video's at the Tent. The pike hanging off the pine was a postcard shot of a north woods lakeside cabin if there ever was one. Some of these CNC router folks can take a still photo & make a wood cutting from it now. Thanks for sharing Y'all be Well

I agree with you Joe on getting up early! As long as I can remember I’ve always gotten up early! Love my morning time alone I guess. My gal and kids can sleep in until....well for quite awhile! I don’t know if I’d like to sleep longer than 7 or 8, like you I believe there’s is too much to do. Love the videos, and glad you and Melissa are able to get back up to the tent!

I couldn't believe it, Jeff Blanton! I just won't buy it!:) Joe LOVES baked potatoes, wrapped in foil! Say, Joe, I always wore gloves while I was changing those light bulbs. Any oil on the fingertips could cause the bulbs to fail early. The very old style bulbs were o.k., but the curly light bulbs do often fail. Can't wait 'til Deer Hunting comes! I hope Zack and Sara can come too! (and Melissa, too!). Semper Fidelis

People who don't like seeing the sun coming up on that lake with the fog and all need their heads examined. That is simply gorgeous. Thank you. There is enough negativity in the world. When I was going through some very hard times in my life through divorce and the economy crashing making the videos was a way to forget for a short time. I would lose myself in the video and the stress I had (it was atrocious) at that time would be gone while I did the video. I think I decided at that time that the videos were not going to be political or negative or anything. Once I met Melissa she also steered me towards more friendly videos as far as when I do butchering, not to show the killing etc. If people want negative they can turn on the news. If you want real life and not negative they can come here. Thanks again.

I love it! I miss the Northwoods! That's got to be the fanciest outhouse ever. My dad took us kids to Big Chetek lake Wis., near Hayward every year for about 18 or 19 yrs. Last time I was there was probably '01 or '02. Been up to Eagle Lake Ontario since. Love to get back up there or Minnesota. So awesome up there.

I’m 11months to late, but coal shovels are great for snow and they last years and years longer than a plastic. Plus when the end gets banged up you just zip it across a grinder and you got yourself a brand new edge.

Census taker came up to me at deer camp last week while I was weed waking trails and almost pooped his pants when he saw Mr. Smith and Wesson on my hip. We have a black bear problem where I am in Vermont. Nice guy and gave him a cup of coffee after to calm him down. Starting to cool down now and I cant wait for fall.

Hey Joe glad to see another tent video, another way to cook potatoes if you're not in the mood for a baked is to use tinfoil, butter a sheet and place a couple sliced potatoes on it wrap it all up and throw it on the grill you can even add onions or mushrooms, my grandkids love them like this!

Yea! Melissa brought up the kids and the shelf! You make good use of your space Joe. Your greatest catch caught a nice fish. You caught a big one as well Joe. Do you guys have the movie Gone Fishin' with Joe Pesci, Danny Glover and Willie Nelson? Or Secret Window with Johnny Depp? I love it when the charcoal come out. Nothing like the taste of meat cooked on a Charcoal grill. The scenery is really nice there. I feel like I had a mini staycation. Thanks for sharing guys!

@@vickiconley3638 Yes! I have had to purchased Secret Window, George of the Jungle (first one) and Overboard three times. Those were our family go to movies for reruns. They all started out on Video tapes. Tape get messed up and the search was on for new one. Then the DVD's came out we purchased more. Since my grandbabies learned to work the players we only find empty cases. I am ordering new copies.

Joe, throw the Sketchers in the trash! Get yourself a pair of (camouflage) Crocs!! I promise your feet will thank you! Also, please do a time- share on your cabin! (Investment property!) You have trained all of us on how to take care of the wood stove, polish the microwave, etc.!! We wood take good care!!

I have a pair of camo crocks at the farmhouse. I do not think crossing the lake in the winter with them would work all that well. LOL.
