The ugly stripes on the silver because of weak old material (filament massive changing in diameter), no printer issue. All silk-PLA but the black socket: normal PLA. Only silver is producing stripes.
Please look at the V2.0 here

I don't care what the "print bros" say on forums and Reddit about the Bambu, if I could I would buy an X1C without a second thought. I don't care about having to order parts from them, I don't care that it's not as fast as a Voron, I don't care that AMS can be finicky (I don't even have to use it), this printer just works right out of the god damned fucking box and with a little easily done tuning produces prints that are perfect. This is what is needed, a plug-and-print machine that just fucking works where you don't lose fucking weeks and months of upgrading, tuning, calibrating, and other insane shit just to print a got damned pen holder. IT JUST FUCKING WORKS and it's worth it's price a hundred times over.

@PC ULTRA If you had read the discription you would have recognized that the poor quality was a result of bad silver filament. Not of speed or printer fault. 😉

@PC ULTRA It was not only wet - the diameter was heavy floating, too. An old spool E*****e. Btw. Outer wall was at 100 this print. And as you can see - the other filaments did well - here and at the other timelapses I posted.

@PC ULTRA What you see at Stormtroopers is the polygonic surface. Rings at tree support are absolutely normal. Both Troopers and earth turned out well. Maybe the lightning from top makes all looking a bit more worse than it looks finally under normal conditions. I think I have to spend a little time to learn video cutting and present the results in normal light after the timelapse. 😁 But not to use the Atlantis filament shop is just nice, a thumb up for this. 😂 But you are right and that is what I said first... I have so much old filament and this must be used first. 😉

@PC ULTRA just got my x1c yesterday and printed a near perfect benchy in less than 20 minutes. No banding, no manual calibration no nothing. Set it up, started it up, waited for the update to finish, printed the benchy. That's gonna say something. 3d printing for close to 8 years now and never had an easier print than this. And the out of the box quality is outstanding already. No comparison to my former printers where the x1 base quality was the maximum achievable. With a bit of tweeking I see the x1 easily ahead of the competition. The x1 is not perfect sure. But support is supposed to be good, replacement parts are cheap and good quality and there isn't even lock-in with all the 3rd party replacement clones available by now. Don't hate on something you do not own yourself just by one example and probably hearsay by the haters. At least check out other print videos.

Im interested to see where this printer goes in the future, since the parts are proprietary it will be hard to fix in the future. For now I went with a FLSUN V400, same part sourcing issues, just a little less

Me too. ;) Time will tell. ;) V400 is also a nice printer - but no multicolor. The nice AMS from Bambu is just a great argument to buy. It has done a rumble in 3D printing - Creatity and Quidi for example going forward now. I'm very exited what will come in the near future. :)

As I described - It's not a printer issue - that was the old wet and weak silver silk filament i stored from 2017. The prime tower was straight - without silver - that was weak. Look at the copper text, black socket, white teeth and red eyes - all straight. ;)

I'm assuming you're using Octoprint to run the time-lapse. Is it possible to connect it up with the "something" (the firmware, the linear rails themselves, a camera) to be able to have it only take pictures when the print-head is not (or least) in frame? Or a plugin for Octoprint that can post-process a rapid-frequency time-lapse into a lower-frequency time lapse, depending on that criterion? (Some octoprint plugin making use of OpenCV or something)
@spiritschamber
@spiritschamber 9 ай бұрын
Hey! Sorry I don't know. It's a while ago I used Octoprint. I'm absolutely not up to date with it. The Bambu Lab printer I use now has the camera and timelapse feature stock build in. ;) I think there are many ways you can manipulate and fine tune the Octolapse timelapses, but I'm not the serious man who can help you, sorry. ;)

Although the Bambu Lab printer is great at printing fast I would avoid the AMS as it is a poorly designed unit that causes more problems than it is worth, wasting filament and unless you spend time and money on it is not fit for purpose unless using Bambu filament. Do not waste your money.

@@spiritschamber Good for you, wish I could say the same. It is all ok when printing with Bambu's filament however as soon as I use another brand it turns into a nightmare. I can not believe that Bambu are naive enough to believe we will just buy their filament. The printer itself is good the AMS is a piece of worthless crap that I am probably going to make a youtube clip of it flying off a very tall building and smashing to pieces on the ground. I have spent countless hours dealing with over heating and pullback issues that should have been sorted before going to market. From what I have read you are lucky and definitely a minority. Mind you it might be you spend to much time drinking those spirits. Or is it that you are being paid by them in one way or another?

@@Aldoor Sure, Bambu is glad to support a fun-channel with 7 subscribers (ironic off). XD I'm sorry that you had such problems with the AMS, but I think there must be a reason for your issues. The only time I had a problem was with a litte too wide generic spool that I respooled then to a Bambu spool and everything was fine. I print 3D since 2016. Started with an A8, turned this to an AM8 with linear rails, have a CR10-S pro and tons of filament collected over the years - Sunlu, Giantarm, eSun, Eryone, Tinmorry, Extrudr, Nonames etc. and these I'm printing with absolutely no issues now on the Bambu.

@@spiritschamber Yes there is a reason for my problems. It is a poor design being released on the market . Plain and simple. You are obviusly either lucky or Bambu have made sure you got a good one to keep schills on side. The design should cope with any spool.
