Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Therefore its an eternal force from which everything materialises. Since energy is an eternal force, a state of nothingness is impossible.

"Energy cannot be created or destroyed" This statement in its generic context as used in your comment is incorrect. The first law of thermodynamics says: "In a closed system, the total amount of energy remains constant." Note: CLOSED SYSTEM !!! However, in the context of the entire universe, the idea becomes more complex. Some theories suggest that the total energy of the universe might not be constant and could be changing over time.

There is still higgs field in quantum vacuum. And the value of higgs field is >0, because it is the only field that isn’t stable at zero energy.
