In 20 years time, that Plaid will be on its third battery swap, costing $30k by then, which no 17 year old will be able to afford. Not to mention that the flash memory will be completely corrupted by then, the screens yellow or not functioning, and most of the other electronics probably not functioning by then. This is not the kind of car that will last 20 years. They are designed for 5 years. The door handle presenter motors will probably not even make it to 5 years. These are disposable cars.

My favorite thing about a Model S (and X) in general (besides it’s insane speed), is it has such a cool augmented reality gauge cluster, that shows every small car, SUV, motorcycle, truck, and everything in its respective lane. ITS SO COOL! And also because, they usually have physical buttons.

Makes me think back to my first car, an 89 Mercury Topaz! Times have changed. It’s bittersweet to me because the absence of technology allowed us to communicate better, be outside all the time and just dig our teeth into nature. I’m not saying we’re doomed but smart people limit tech. We’ve seen where smart homes can burden people and I wonder how long until cars are limited via tech by big government. Great review though, lol.

Problems with Tesla Model S Plaid: 1. Turning indicator needs it's own lever 2. Windshield vipers also need it's own lever 3. Needs manual knobs for volume, fan speed and temperature control 4. Needs buttons for standard functions like rearview window heater, seat heaters and ventilation, inside air circulation etc. 5. Needs a horn in the center of the steering yolk 6. Needs a manual direction control lever/thing for ventilation outlets 7. (This is the MOST important thing) Needs a better quality control from the factory!!! Otherwise a good car

the new horn is brilliant from a safety stand point. I'm not a tesla fan, but the button enables you to keep both hands on the wheel and maintain better control of the vehicle vs. 1 hand on the horn and 1 hand on the wheel. Wish other manufacturers transitioned to this.

Yes thats what I think they thought was that. if in an emergency situation they don't want you to hit the Airbag so just in case you don't break your hand and limit dangers. Yet, I see why its controversial they still have a few things to change but. I heard that they can just put the palm on the horn and it will sound just like pushing the "horn"

I would be cool to see you review some older cars and compare them these. Something like a 2010 E550 (5.5l NA V8) and see how much they have evolved 👍🏽

as funny and cool as the 0-60 time is at what point is it just too much. If you are getting the wind knocked out of you every time you do a launch i wouldn't want to do it lol.

Overrated lol literally nothing sounds better then a combustion engine for 150k u can get a Porsche instead of a Tesla better interior and chassis literally teslas overpriced the torque and hp is so unnecessary that’s why it cost so much

Actually, if you cover your palm over the right side of the steering wheel, it'll activate the horn too. A problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place :/

Good to know, but the problem is still that we've been trained for so many years that the horn is accessed by pressing against the middle of the wheel. Now if all other cars made the change to match Tesla, that would be one thing, but with only yoke-equipped Teslas requiring a new technique, it's very difficult for us to re-train. To your point - it's a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place

The range on this car with the 19" wheels is 396 miles. With these 21" wheels, range is rated at 348. The 19's are also lighter.
