JP Landscaping delusional statement. The economy might be doing good in certain areas, the black community is not one of them. People are going hungry, and the lines at food pantries are off the chain. So don't believe what lying Trump says.

The only chain burger joint I eat at is Whataburger. I love supporting small businesses, and generally when it comes to restaurants they seem to have better quality food. There are two small businesses in my city that serve amazing burgers that are reasonably priced so Whataburger is generally my third choice.

What’s so different about this burger? Cheap bun, ordinary iceberg lettuce chopped up, ordinary processed/canned pickles, ordinary tomatoes from the grocery store, ordinary mayonnaise from a 1 gallon jug that every other cheap restaurant in the world buys, ordinary yellow mustard that every fourth of July barbecue has ever seen, a slice of American “cheese” The couple tablespoons of probably very ordinary chili. The prices are fine, I think it’s awesome they have been there for such a long time and people rally around that but ultimately, this is about exceptional burgers and I don’t see where the exceptional comes from. Please explain

Could you imagine if most businesses actually set their prices to what is best for the people in the community, it would be very refreshing. I have always said, greed is what will ultimately destroy communities.
@daman2675 жыл бұрын
if they price it too high no one will buy. the larger, typical profit margins you’re thinking of are much larger to support growth and sustainability of the business. so it works here, if all you’re trying to do is break even. but most people want to grow, thus higher prices. if you wanna stay where you are, then fine. but you don’t get into business to stay where you are.
@slyfox19835 жыл бұрын
daman267 that’s not completely true. You could grow by going after volume as well.
@56squadron5 жыл бұрын
@@daman267 - So in your world the point of business is to become a buhjillionaire, drive everyone out of business or buy their businesses and then own the entire world... and then start preaching to everyone like zuckerberg? You can keep your world. Your world sucks. I can state firsthand almost every profession MASSIVELY overcharges for everything. Part of that is the governments fault (regulations, fees, taxes etc etc) and the rest is pure greed.
@mhc91605 жыл бұрын
@@daman267 Things have shifted. Millennials are gaining more and more control of the job and consumer markets. We don't purchase based on price. Our purchasing habits are alot more complex than most people care to admit. We purchase based on service, community contribution, mission, etc. We don't mind paying more for better quality, service, and a person that smiles at us when we do business with them. So I certainly beg to differ. And, judging from statistics, the market begs to differ as well.

Ask the black people... they kill more of each other than anyone else does. And ask the liberals why they keep stoking the hate. I think what you meant to say is the upper classes do not have a monopoly on decency and morality and kindness. In fact they could use a hell of a lot more of it. More often than not the best sides of humanity can been seen amongst those of us with the least of everything... REGARDLESS of what color they are. In fact that sums it up - Those with the most wealth tend to have the least humanity, and those with the least wealth often display the most humanity... and humility.

I'll admit the neighborhood is fairly rundown and mostly black, but Cream Burger is literally across the street from the sprawling urban campus of the University of Houston, which has both a large resident population and a sizeable commuter population. The whole area has a high level of traffic of all sorts, ages, and zip codes, and a lot of people stop in at this place. It fits a busy schedule and/or a student budget very nicely! I wish this family nothing but the best. Their mother sounds like she was a wonderful loving and caring person who wanted the best for her family. I am very proud of the siblings at keeping the business going. They have the best concept to keep the prices at a low cost to keep customers coming to the burger joint. I wish them continued success especially in the time that we are in.

Those lovely ladies and their delicious food are making me so hungry. Every neighborhood needs a spot like this...people from the area looking after the area. All good stuff.

What a great lady, basically feeding her community. I hope, since she’s in Texas, her business has survived COVID and the crazy inner-city environment.

They still selling burgers at the same spot! So far the biggest thing threatening the place is the gentrification in the area.
