Food is good. Waitresses not friendly and harsh. Cooks are friendly and so is the owner. I worked at the Texas Cafe and I can say that the food is amazing and is made with love and compassion.

Wow..this place is just down the road from us. We just moved to Texas a couple years ago and found your show recently too. Good way to learn about Texas. Keep up the good work!

As a Texan living in Virginia, I love your channel. I do my own Q because folks around here have no clue. I love to see you traveling around my beloved Texas and reminding me of home. Keep doing what ya do.

I hear you. I drove a truck for a while and the best food I could get is here in Texas.

Yes sir. I was a Southland (Southern CA cop for 8 years before returning to Texas and they had nothing but chain restaurants that served BBQ. In other words, they thought Chili's baby back ribs were the real deal. The only thing that held a candle to Texas was the Mexican mom and pop shops where we'd get our orders and eat them at our office (The hood of our cop cars). When I got back to Texas I spent every weekend at the Fort Worth Stock Yards Rodeo and made a point to go to Risky's BBQ where I became a freak show attraction as I destroyed plate after plate of the all you can eat beef ribs. I believe my record of 50 still stands.

We've been there several times now. We always order a meal and then two slices of pie each to take home. That way we can have one that night and another the next day. Each time we get a different kind so we will know which ones we really like, until they put it on rotation!

I lived between Hutto (home of the Hustlin’ Hutto Hippos) and Taylor back in the 70’s and 80’s. Back then the population was less than 700 people. Looks like it has grown a bit. Back home in Tennessee now. I miss Texas I the spring and the bluebonnets.

Hutto has nearly if not exceeded 30,000 citizens.

Das Burnout Boi Thank you sir for replying. I prefer to remember Hutto and Taylor as they once were. When I moved away, both towns were the ideal of small town Texas and I miss that. Walmart had just built a store on the north side of Taylor and the Main Street was suffering for it. It was a much simpler time.
