That last story is absolutely horrific. That that utility company got away with a fucking settlement instead of management and the leadership being ejected is infuriating. All that suffering could've been avoided, but the assholes cared more about money than human lives. What was that saying again? Profit over People.

I think the original odor from her death was probably attributed to all of the cats. In time, the smell dissipates as the body decays.

The cat lady story is my worst nightmare, for me or my husband, whether I die first and he's left alone with our pets (not that we have a dozen cats) or the reverse happens. We have no kids and not much family. I think the last story, though, is so sad. I hope Antonio's child was awarded a lot of money, not that money can replace a father. And how he called his mom, he just wanted his mom at the end... he needed her comfort. Brought some tears to my eyes.

Same, I always worry I will be alone at my old age. My grandma had 12 kids, the sweetest southern lady, and her kids left her to her luck in a nursing home. My uncle that lived with her, was so terrified his siblings would kick him out and he stayed in the house and wouldn't open the door. He died soon after and no one found out he died days later. I've learned marriage, kids, family, etc. isn't a guarantee for your last days.

The first one just sounds like an old man who had dementia or alzheimer's and either forgot to order more supplies, or forgot he moved/used the supplies, then forgot about his booby traps he had installed. It's sad.

That last story pisses me off so much!!! This is why it’s important for regulations and protocol and it’s important for unions in American jobs.Working people are never considered when it comes to Money in these greedy ass corporations.Like Bill Burr always says “How Big Does Your Fu#%ing Yacht Gotta Be Ass#%le!!!! I’m financially good myself and Thank God .I don’t know how people live with them selves destroying people for profits.Unfortunately that’s been our Capitalistic societies dark side.Unchecked greed and sociopathic CEO’s have unfortunately been a curse in our society. I’m not calling for the exact opposite Communistic Totalitarianism. I think we could learn a lot from Northern European countries were they do a mixed economy some things are taken care of socially and other things are done economically capitalist. I think that’s our future in this country.Just a Thought 🧐

I've lived in my house for almost 11 years, and I've yet to go up into my attic, lol. I leave that to my husband 😂. We only use it to store Christmas decorations and other seasonal items.

Just as a warning to anyone thinking of doing what Ronald from Story 3 did, don't unless you are so paranoid about a home invasion threat, and your chances of surviving one, that you're willing to face the very real risk of a manslaughter charge for it. It is HIGHLY illegal to booby-trap your property just in case someone intrudes. There are a NUMBER of different people who can enter your property on completely legitimate grounds, and traps don't discriminate.

I've seen multiple people react to this, but you two are the only ones to mention that the company in the last one tried saving money by having these guys remove the block without turning the boiler off, but then had to pay the families of the victims when it *shockingly* went wrong. Tried saving money & ended up losing money anyway; they should've just done the responsible thing & turned it off.

The cat story, who closed the door to the attic though…🤔 if she went up there. She wouldn’t close the door, so did the police ignore the open attic or did she close it, which wouldn’t make sense, did it close by itself? Probably not… did. the cats close it? I think not… they had to go up there to check if there are cats up there too… so how did they not find her? Why were there still crates up there? This story screams „failure“.
