I randomly stumbled across a blog called Steadfast Lutherans, while searching for something else.... and then I saw all the posts about this conference. I went to the website and found that the conference was a couple of weeks ago! That bummed me out, because the topics looked so good! Then after searching on youtube I found all the sermons you shared here... thank you so much! I am excited to watch all of these! God bless you!

Thanks so much

Will there be a publication of the full paper?

Well, the evaluation of the Forde position as chronological progression from law to gospel is pretty weak and imprecise.

Our systematics have backed us into a corner.

Antinomianism is unavoidable when one thinks he can speak about faith apart from good works. It seems as if we have extracted certain verses, and matrixed them to make our points. But I'm not sure we even know what we are talking about when we teach sola fide. The "good works" that the Reformers criticized were the man made works that the RC church considered necessary for salvation. The radical reformers then broadened this to include actual sanctification, and still do so today. And I'm sorry to say many Lutherans who teach sola fide don't know the difference either. We can rightly say that good works are necessary to salvation. If for no other reason because any faith without them is dead. And dead faith doesn't justify anyone.
