It's actually a 4 body problem. Even though the planet exerts a very small force on the stars, it is there. Therefore, it must be factored into the problem. Instead of only focusing on the movements alone, it would seem necessary to consider the forces each body exerts to predict the reaction of each body to one another. Just so everyone knows, I received a PHD in I don't know what TF I'm talking about. You're welcome.

Isn't it called "3 body problem" referring to the sun as being the body. The problem they constantly the sun being either too far or to close to the planet, which causes endless problems to alien kind. Planets orbit around the sun, so that explains the sun being the body. The 3-body problem is problem about how 3 mass of body move when all 3 of them impact each other with gravitaional force, so like how would all 3 planets move if planet No.1 move when affected by graviational pull by planet No.2 and planet No.3, but at the same time planet No.2 and planet No.3 are moving, shifting their pull on planet No.1 as they move while also being affected back by planet No.1 while it is moving. If all 3 planet are aligned and move torward each other, the answer is simple, they all crash, the end. However if the planets are not aligned, and they initially move in a weird way like planet No.1 move 45° away from planet No.2, planet No.2 move torward plant No.3 but very slow, and planet No.3 move whatever way it want, the result can be very complicated to predict. So imagine if your planet have 3 suns, all 3 suns affect each other movement, its hard enough to predict how the 3 suns would move, imagine how hard it is to predict how your planet would rotate/orbit around those suns while they are moving. As for why it is not called 4-body problem, I'm not sure, maybe it have something to do with the planet being too small so the pull effect of the planet on the suns changes nothing from a 4-body problem to a 3-body problem so they might as well make it a 3-body problem and try to solve the movements of the suns 1st then predict the movement of the planet base on the suns later, rather then doing the math for 4 objects moving at the same time while they all affect each other movements when 3-body already a problem on its own

@huseyinkagantoy5469
@huseyinkagantoy5469 4 ай бұрын
The three-body problem is a classic challenge in celestial mechanics that involves predicting the motion of three celestial bodies interacting through gravitational forces. It has been a subject of study for centuries, dating back to the time of Newton, and remains an important area of research due to its complexity and importance in understanding planetary systems and galactic dynamics. In this problem, gravitational forces between three objects are taken into account, leading to a coupled system of ordinary differential equations (odes) that describe the positions and velocities of the objects over time. The gravitational force between two objects is given by Newton's law of universal gravitation, which states that the force is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Unlike the simpler two-body problem, which has analytical solutions that describe the motion of two bodies under the influence of gravity, the three-body problem lacks general analytical solutions. this is due to the inherent complexity and nonlinearity of the interactions between the three bodies. As a result, numerical methods are often used to approximate solutions numerically. Numerical methods involve discretizing differential equations and integrating them over time to predict the motion of objects. Various numerical techniques such as Euler's method, Runge-Kutta methods or adaptive step size methods are used to solve the ode system and simulate the behavior of the three-body system. One of the most striking aspects of the three-body problem is its chaotic behavior. Even under simple initial conditions, the motion of objects can become quite unpredictable and sensitive to small changes. This chaos arises from the nonlinear nature of gravitational interactions and has profound consequences for understanding the dynamics of planetary orbits and galactic structures. Studying the three-body problem has important applications in astrophysics, celestial mechanics and space exploration. Understanding the dynamics of three-body systems is crucial for modeling planetary motion, predicting celestial events such as gravitational waves, and planning space missions to explore distant regions of the universe. Overall, the three-body problem represents a fundamental challenge in theoretical and computational physics, pushing the boundaries of our understanding of complex dynamical systems and the behavior of gravitational forces in the cosmos.

If we agree that there was a big bang ; and the notion (proof?) that the universe is still expanding, then all the forces keeping them separate will eventually stop, right? At that point, the system will begin to collapse on itself. I feel like this model assumes waaay to much perfection and imagination with the assumption that the one "particle" that's orbiting has no influence outside of the 3 stars. Please correct me
@dr.zoidberg8666
@dr.zoidberg8666 3 ай бұрын
This doesn't have anything to do with the big bang (though the idea you described is called "the big crunch" & is not favored by the current evidence) The 3 body problem doesn't have to do with particles either, it has to do with gravitational orbits. When 3 objects (we'll say stars) of similar mass orbit eachother the system is chaotic such that eventually one or more of the orbiting stars will be ejected from the system or collide with eachother. Trinary star systems are common, but most of them do not last long. The ones that do last are generally a case of one large star & 2 smaller stars in which the 2 stars orbit eachother (like a planet & moon) & jointly orbit the larger star -- so the system behaves much more like a binary system than a trinary one.
@koh9894
@koh9894 3 ай бұрын
@@dr.zoidberg8666 thank you. I like the big crunch theory. It seems that a big crunch would not be possible without a big bang. I saw some mathematical approach to 3 different theories. I suppose there are others but for this argument they're irrelevant. As long as there are multiple models that are not debunked and one model includes the "big crunch", 😁 that's where my gut's gonna be comfortable
@dr.zoidberg8666
@dr.zoidberg8666 3 ай бұрын
@@koh9894 Sure thing. Right now there are 3 major contenders (or rather 1 major & 2 minor) in science for the end of the universe: The big crunch, the big rip, & the big freeze. The first you know, the second is the notion that spacetime will ultimately expand so much that it rips itself apart, & the final one is also called "the heat death of the universe." It's the notion that as the universe expands, energy becomes less & less available until the stars burn out, planets, asteroids, & even black holes decompose, & ultimately the final atom in the universe comes to an end, leaving a completely blank void -- nothing at all. Some theorists suppose that such a state may even ignite a new big bang, since in general relativity an infinitely large spacetime with no reference points is indistinguishable from an infinitely small spacetime with no reference points. As of right now, the heat death of the universe is the best supported.

It's a wonder how the orbits of our solar system seem so stable. It's usually explained away with the mass of the Sun being very much larger than all masses orbiting it combined. Howerver, the nearest stellar object that could have any gravitational influence on our solar system is 4 light years away. Probably just far enough for its influence to be negligible.

Apparently Trisolaris' first motion takes it into the heart of the upper sun, thus the rest of the pattern is meaningless doodles! :)

I love the fact Isaac Newton tried to come up with a mathematical formula to resolve the issue, according to his laws of gravity. Then 100 years later Einstein comes along and says ‘oh by the way the very space the stars are travelling through is almost like a liquid and the stars can shed energy through gravitational waves and other space-time effects’ which in essence took an already impossible problem and multiplied it by 10^12

If you were a transformer you'd be able to sell that drawing for $Ms in NY just by wearing a silver jacket and mismatched socks.
