This video provides a detailed description of the three classes of levers. A lever is one of the six kinds of simple machines. It consists of a straight beam that can rotate at a fixed point called the fulcrum. Based on the relative location of the fulcrum, the output force (the load) and the input force (the effort), the can be lever can be divided into three classes. The ratio of the output force to the input force is the mechanical advantage of the lever.
